Double Rainbow Appears Over Pulse Orlando Nightclub [Photos]
The fact that a real rainbow appeared in the skies over the Pulse Orlando nightclub on Tuesday, June 14, is causing a big buzz on social media. More recent social media photos show a double rainbow forming over Pulse Orlando.

As seen in the top photo above, a rainbow is displayed in Tacoma, Washington, behind the half-mast flying U.S. flag atop the Tacoma Dome. Even in Paris, France, rainbow colors lit up the Eiffel Tower as a tribute to the victims of the mass shooting at Pulse Orlando, an Orlando gay club.
Now the heavenly sight is causing a big reaction on social media as folks continue to mourn the 49 lives lost in the mass shooting.
The fact that the rainbow showed up nearby Pulse, with Craig Lucie noting on Twitter how Pulse is located right behind the “Salvation” truck, has gained plenty of likes and retweets on the social networking site.
The comparison to the biblical report of the rainbow being a covenant from God never to send another great flood upon the earth as in the days of Noah can’t help but be thought of as folks search for the spiritual significance of the rainbow. As reported by Bible Hub, in Genesis 9, the promise of a rainbow in the sky seems a welcome respite of heavenly promises of mercy after a devastating event.
“‘I establish My covenant with you; and all flesh shall never again be cut off by the water of the flood, neither shall there again be a flood to destroy the earth.’ God said, ‘This is the sign of the covenant which I am making between Me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all successive generations; I set My bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a sign of a covenant between Me and the earth. It shall come about, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow will be seen in the cloud, and I will remember My covenant, which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and never again shall the water become a flood to destroy all flesh. When the bow is in the cloud, then I will look upon it, to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.'”
As reported by CNN in the below Twitter tweet, 49 birds also mysteriously appeared in the sky as the names of the dead were read.

These seemingly spiritually significant signs in the sky are giving some people hope in the midst of the tragedy.

Plenty of rainbow photos began appearing on social media, joined by the hashtag #Orlando, with many calling the gorgeous rainbows a fitting tribute to those who lost their lives in the tragic mass shooting.
The rainbows spotted either in Orlando or other cities across the nation made many people think of Orlando and send their wishes for peace across social media as they shared the rainbow photos. Some of them represented double rainbows, rainbows spotted from the vantage point of an airplane, or even circular rainbows around the sun.

Either way, the overwhelming message contained in most of the rainbow photos included words about trying to find a sliver of hope after suffering a great tragedy. From Central Park to Paris, the main message being sent to Orlando was one of love.
