His Double Life Lifetime Movie: What’s It About?

It has been five years since the death of Scarlett’s father, who died in a tragic car accident. Returning home from college, she finds that her widowed mother, Linda, has uprooted the family and is moving to a new location. Scarlett is not excited about the idea and believes that they were fine in their old home. Since her husband’s untimely death, Linda has tried hard to move forward with her life.

Linda has a wonderful job and has fallen in love with another man. But, there is one shocking detail, the new man in her life is her late husband’s business partner, Greg, and they are now married. Scarlett is less than delighted about the idea of having a new stepfather, especially since Greg was once a close friend of her father. But, seeing her mother happy again seems to be worth it. However, Scarlett feels unsettled about them being together. Not only is it plain weird, but it is also inappropriate and reeks of betrayal.

Also, Greg is not particularly hands-on when it comes to the family. He always seems to be unavailable and cancels plans at the last minute. With this in mind, Scarlett thinks he’s up to something and decides to sniff for clues as to where he is spending his time at night.

Scarlett puts her sleuthing skills to the test by tracking him by GPS, which eventually leads her to Greg’s other woman. But, when the woman ends up dead in a park, and the death makes headline news, Scarlett is convinced that her stepfather killed her and was possibly behind her own father’s death.

His Double Life, aka Betrayed, was filmed in Simi Valley Town Center, Simi Valley, California, and was produced by Hybrid with distribution by Lifetime Television and Starz Entertainment. Executive producers on the television movie are Barry Barnholtz, Zelma Kiwi, and Jeffrey Schenck.
