Jennifer Aniston Pitching ‘Friends’ Movie To Execs As Movie Career Tanks: Actress Desperate For Box Office Hit

Following a string of films that failed to make any sort of impact at the box office, Jennifer Aniston is reportedly wanting to reunite with her former Friends co-stars in the hopes that they can finalize a motion picture deal that’ll revive the actress’ ailing career, it has been alleged.

According to reports, Jennifer has acknowledged the fact that her recent movies haven’t done as well as she would have hoped, particularly with the likes of Mother’s Day and Horrible Bosses 2. While Aniston is known to pull in more than $100 million per movie, her recent work seems to have shown signs that Jen-An is no longer attracting movie-goers.

An insider alleges that everyone has taken note, including those who negotiate film offers with Jennifer. The 47-year-old is believed to have seen a drastic drop in earnings solely down to the fact that her name doesn’t seem to excite fans in seeing the film as much as it used to.

With that being said, however, the actress firmly believes that a Friends movie could potentially get her acting career back on track.

A source revealed, “Jennifer Aniston was at her peak when she received a Golden Globe nomination for her performance in Cake. But the actress’s career has taken a nosedive, as her latest film has not been well-received by critics!”

If rumors are true that Jennifer is considering the idea of getting together with her former co-stars for a Friends movie, this would heavily contradict her previous comments stating that she couldn’t see herself reuniting with the cast for a feature film.

Of course, when those comments were made, Aniston had multiple films in the lineup, all of which were making hundreds of millions of dollars at the box office. Things have been looking differently as of late, though, and Jen now realizes that giving fans what they’ve wanted for years may be the only way she can resuscitate her acting career.

“Jen knows she needs a box office hit or her film career will be over. Like SJP did with the SEX AND THE CITY movies, Jen wants to turn the TV show into a hit film,” the insider continued to stress, insinuating that the success of Sex and the City has made Jennifer reconsider the idea of reuniting with her former cast members.

The source concluded by saying, “She has met with writers and is starting to develop a script. She needs a hit, fast.”

All in all, with the alleged decline in movie roles for the actress and a shockingly low draw as far as box office numbers are concerned, Jennifer Aniston’s last chance may be to gather the likes of Matt LeBlanc and Courteney Cox and hope that the entire cast is on board to star in what could be one of the biggest movies of the year.

When Friends concluded back in 2005, the majority of cast members went on to have relatively successful careers ranging from acting, producing, directing, hosting, and entrepreneurship. It’ll be interesting to see if everyone is willing to put their own projects on hold for the sake of Aniston’s supposed needs.

Do you think everybody will get back together for a Friends movie? Do you think that the cast will refuse to cooperate with the idea of a blockbuster movie knowing that Jen will allegedly only take part for the sake of reviving her career?
