Teresa Giudice Pushes Forward With Malpractice Lawsuit: Judge Fully Supports Giudice

Teresa Giudice was released from prison just before Christmas last year after having served 11 months behind bars. Teresa was sentenced to 13 months behind bars, and she was expected to serve her full time. But she was released on the condition that she would be on house arrest so she could spend some time with Joe Giudice before he had to turn himself in to serve over three years. Before Teresa turned herself in, she revealed that her previous lawyer never explained the situation to her. She had no idea she was doing something wrong, and she was furious with him when she learned that she would have to go to jail.

According to a new Radar Online report, Teresa Giudice is now getting permission to move forward with a malpractice lawsuit against her former bankruptcy lawyer. Apparently, a judge of Morris Country Superior Court has ruled in Teresa’s favor, saying that she can move forward with this lawsuit. Giudice claims that her former lawyer is the reason why she had to serve 11 months behind bars.

The court papers in the case reveal that James Kridel was guilty of breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, and legal malpractice in his handling of her bankruptcy case six years ago. It is actually Teresa Giudice’s current lawyer, Carlos Cuevas, who is accusing Kridel of making “material errors” in his legal docs for Giudice’s case. During the court case, Teresa and her husband, Joe, were slammed for not revealing all of their assets. Her lawyer explains that Kridel should have listed her job, income, and various auto and property assets.

Teresa Giudice’s former lawyer has fired back at her in an effort to protect himself. He doesn’t believe that he did anything wrong, especially since Teresa admitted to committing crimes when they were in court. And this is his biggest defense.

James believes that Teresa “went to jail because she committed crimes” by her own admission.

“She had about 2.5 hours of testimony before she went to jail where she took full responsibility for the crimes,” he has said about the Real Housewives of New Jersey star.

Giudice has been a single mother to her four children since Joe turned himself about five weeks ago. But Teresa says everyone is doing well considering the circumstances.

“We’re a strong family,” Teresa Giudice has revealed about her family, adding, “and now they have their mommy and we’re going to make it through. I’m with them all the time. I mean, right now, I came to work for a few hours but I’m going right back home.”

“I’m with them all the time. My daughter had a soccer game last night, she had a soccer game this morning, and she has another one tomorrow morning. So, I’m with them all the time. I mean, whenever I have to work, I work but I go right back home and be with my babies. They are my life. I live for them. They need their mommy,” Teresa Giudice explains of her children.

Plus, Teresa Giudice has been promoting her memoir, Turning the Tables. The memoir apparently did so well that she’s decided to write a sequel.

“Everybody thinks they know me from watching, but that is just a part of me, and I just wanted everyone to get to know the real Teresa – the Teresa from how I was raised, my background, everything about me. Then you can say you fully know the real Teresa,” Giudice explains, sharing that her second memoir will be released in June and it will cover everything from her release to Joe turning himself in.
