Rihanna Not Dating Drake Despite Sexual Onstage Chemistry: Claims Rapper To Be Nothing More Than A Friend

Despite having engaged in endless affectionate performances together, Rihanna and Drake are not dating, a report has assured.

As Rihanna’s Anti World Tour made its stop in Toronto, Canada, the 28-year-old “Needed Me” songstress surprised her fans once again with the help of her on-again, off again beau joining her to perform their Billboard hit single, “Work.”

Within minutes, Drake and Rihanna began trending on Twitter as many social media users found it hard to believe that the ever-so-passionate friends were nothing more than close pals.

A report via HollywoodLife stresses that Rihanna and Drizzy are far from interested in a relationship with one another – at least for now. With Drake gearing up to release his forthcoming record, Views from the 6, and Rih-Rih continuing her world tour, neither of the two would find the time to be together.

“They both have an intense bond but they are not dating. Drake likes being around multiple ladies and loves to keep that life. Drake is not going to settle down with anyone anytime soon and that includes Rihanna,” an insider stressed.

Drake and Rihanna haven’t publicly claimed their relationship status since 2013, just months after the “Kiss It Better” hitmaker announced her split from R&B singer Chris Brown. Her reconciliation with Drake didn’t last long, however, as the 29-year-old Canadian-born artist prepared for several upcoming events, including the release of Nothing Was the Same, followed by his Would You Like A Tour concert.

It more or less seems as if Drake and Rihanna cannot be together for the simple fact that their music careers don’t allow them to find time for one another.

Despite the fact that the twosome may have wanted to be more than friends if their scheduling would allow it, sources say that Rihanna and Drizzy are investing all of their time into their work schedule, which is bound to keep them busy for the rest of the year.

Aside from her tour, Rihanna is prepping for the worldwide release of her PUMA clothing collection, having also signed a $10 million deal to create her own make-up line with LVMH. And, if that was not enough, Rihanna made an impressive $25 million just by having Samsung sponsor her ANTI album back in January.

Meanwhile, Drake’s forthcoming record, Views from the 6, is already expected to shatter first-week sales despite the fact that the album is only being sold on Apple Music and iTunes. This is due to the rapper having inked a $19 million deal with the tech company, which will see Drake unveil exclusive content to the music streaming service that fans will be unable to find anywhere else.

It is clear that with so many great opportunities coming their way, letting their friendship get in the way of things by attempting a possible romantic relationship would seem irresponsible.

Reports of Rihanna and Drake being nothing more than good pals comes just weeks after an insider alleged that the twosome enjoyed a friends with benefits romance for several months before eventually deciding to call it off.

“They’re not together, but Rihanna’s fallen off the wagon,” a source claimed at the time. “She and Drake are back to being friends with benefits and she’s all right with that, for now.”

Rihanna’s Anti tour resumes in Chicago on Monday.
