Mike Shouhed of Bravo’s Shahs of Sunset isn’t letting his divorce distract him from success.
Earlier this week on Facebook, Mike Shouhed announced the launch of his new business, a moving company. A short time later, after articles began surfacing online, he took to Twitter to express his excitement.

Mike Shouhed’s new business announcement was made on April 12, just days after Shahs of Sunset’s new season premiered. At the time, Mike Shouhed explained to his Facebook fans and followers that he had experienced a horrible move to Los Angeles after entrusting his belongings with a subpar moving company.
According to his post, Mike Shouhed met with the owner of an unnamed moving company, who informed him of their “best price” and promised to deliver white glove service. Unfortunately, the man’s promises were lies, and after his move took longer than expected, Mike Shouhed discovered the movers had broken a very special heirloom given to him by his deceased grandfather before he passed away.
While the move was certainly frustrating in more ways than one, Mike Shouhed turned the negative into a positive when he realized there was a void in the market, which he would fill with a nationwide five-star company of his own, Royalty Moving.
“When we give you an estimate, we stick to it-when I tell you that we’re going to be careful with your personal belongings you better believe it & bet your last dollar on it! Moving is stressful and hard enough, we are here to take away some of that anxiety,” Mike Shouhed explained.
Mike Shouhed and his wife, Jessica Parido, parted ways in August of last year after just five months of marriage. At that point, as Mike Shouhed later revealed, a past infidelity surfaced and his wife moved out. However, instead of filing for divorce at that point, Parido said she would give her husband another chance if he agreed to go to therapy and address his issues, which he did.
“I was working on myself, and I am a completely different person today then I was three months ago,” Mike Shouhed said during an interview with People Magazine in December 2015.
Still, despite Mike Shouhed’s therapy visits, Parido chose to move forward with the divorce, and around the same time, Shouhed discovered she had a new boyfriend.
“I didn’t even know the divorce was happening until I saw it posted online. That was how I found out she was divorcing me. I was blindsided,” he recalled.
Now, Mike Shouhed says, “I’m looking for closure and each day is getting a little easier for me to heal. Through therapy, yoga and meditation, self awareness and through realization I have come to a point now in my life where I realize what it takes to be a good partner and everyday I strive to become better. I am on that journey where one day I will be 100 percent again and I am looking forward to that.”

On April 12, Mike Shouhed shared a post on Facebook with fans, revealing the first episode of Shahs of Sunset Season 5 was a hit.
“The #s are in for episode 1, Season 5 of Shahs Of Sunset , you all proved to the network and the world that a show about 6 Iranian Americans is something people wanna watch!! 2 million + of you tuned in,” he revealed . “Breaking some records!”
