William And Kate Dazzle On Their Trip To India, All Eyes Are On Royal Pair And The Duchess’ Many Outfits

The British royal pair has finally arrived in India. William and Kate have traveled without their two children to take in all that the country has to offer. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are representing Britain on their royal seven-day tour, and they have already dazzled their way into their hearts of the Indian people who have been anticipating their arrival.

In a speech that William gave, he told the people that he and Kate were happy to be there. As ABC News reported, he spilled that India was one place where his wife said that she has always wanted to visit.

They have both been looking forward to it for some time now as he said, “Two children and five years later, we finally made it.”

Will and Kate have certainly lived up to their reputation as a charming and enthusiastic couple. They look like they have thoroughly enjoyed their first two days so far in Mumbai. Their arrival on Sunday had the royal pair paying respects to the 31 victims who were killed in the 2008 terrorist attack at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel. The Duchess had on a red paisley outfit by designer Sarah Burton.

Duchess Catherine also took part in a game of cricket while looking smashing in an Indian-inspired dress by Mumbai designer Anita Dongre. Cricket star Sachin Tendulkar helped her out as the crowd cheered her on.

Also on the agenda was a visit to one of the worst slum areas of the world. It is located in the Malabar Hill area of Mumbai and sits right next to a very wealthy area. The royal couple kicked a football around and chatted with the dwellers there. William even had a dance-off with one of the boys who has pretty awesome hip-hop moves. They were also seen tasting Indian cuisine, which William seemed to like.

Later that evening was a charity ball fit for royalty, where they met with Bollywood celebrities and prominent Indian leaders. William was his usual charming self, and his royal wife stunned in a gorgeous blue gown by Jenny Packham, which was full of glitter and glam. The outfit was said to be hand-beaded as well. Her matching earrings were designed by Indian jeweler Amrapali.

On Monday, the Duke and Duchess flew to New Delhi, where they laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at India Gate National Memorial. As reported by the Daily Mail, Kate had a little trouble with keeping her simple white design by Emilia Wickstead down as the wind blew around her. The dress was flapping around quite a bit, but she kept it cool and collected just as she always does. Their next stop was spending time at a museum in Old Birla House, where Mahatma Gandhi spent his final days. They walked where he walked during the final moments of his life.

The twosome are expected to attend a birthday party that has been thrown together in honor of the Queen’s special day. All eyes will especially be on Kate’s outfits that she will be wearing for the rest of the trip.

William and Kate still have the rest of the week full of planned festivities. Tuesday and Wednesday will be a special time for Will, as he and the Duchess will be visiting Kaziranga National Park in Assam. They are planning on driving around to see what they can find at the park and also to a wildlife center that takes care of injured animals. William is giving a speech on rhino poaching, which is a topic that is close to his heart.

Even though this trip to India has been fun and enlightening for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, it is also a time of strengthening the ties between Britain and India. Kate is also interested in visiting many Indian children as well.
