Gwyneth Paltrow On New Relationship With Chris Martin: ‘You Just Never Know What’s Going To Happen’
Gwyneth Paltrow is moving forward with a life that’s busy in so many areas, yet the Iron Man actress can’t seem to stop singing the praises of ex Chris Martin, only two years after the couple “consciously uncoupled” and came back together as friends for the benefit of their children.
While Gwyneth has happily moved on with a new relationship, dating producer Brad Falchuk (Scream Queens, American Horror Story), the actress finds joyous new wonders in the evolution of her relationship with Martin.
Gwyneth Paltrow Says She And Chris Martin Are “Better As Friends”
While many couples work out their differences, following divorce, and try to establish friendly terms for the sake of whatever children may be involved, Paltrow and Martin seem to be leading that trend as the ideal role models. Many try to strive for the amicability shared by Gwyneth and the Coldplay frontman, but few in Hollywood seem able to make it work for long. When asked for her secret, the Goop CEO gives much of the credit to Chris Martin.
“I think we are better as friends than we were [married]. We are very close and supportive of one another,” Ms. Paltrow says. “It hasn’t always been easy for us because you have good days and bad days as you do in life with anything, but I feel lucky because Chris has been willing to push himself for the sake of the kids and help me co-create this new family.”
Gwyneth adds that the feelings of compassionate and familial love are still present, even though they are no longer a couple in the romantic sense.
Ms. Paltrow isn’t alone in commenting on the former couple’s unique and evolving relationship.
“It’s always out there in the media, but I have a very wonderful separation-divorce,” Martin said. “I’ve lived a lot since then. It’s a divorce, but it’s a weird one.”
Paltrow Dishes On New Love, Brad Falchuk, And On Getting Remarried
Both Martin and Paltrow are moving on with their lives, as far as romance is concerned. In the past, Chris has been involved with Hunger Games actress Jennifer Martin and, more recently, Martin has been linked to Peaky Blinders actress Annabelle Wallis. As for Gwyneth, she’s been dating the Scream Queens and American Horror Story executive producer Brad Falchuk for several months now, though she can’t be compelled to voice her hopes, as for how she sees the relationship progressing.
“I don’t want to say too much, but I will say you just never know what is going to happen, what people you are going to meet, what amazing lessons you are going to learn,” Paltrow says, ever mindful of her words.
The thought of getting remarried isn’t pressing on the Iron Man actress’ mind, but Paltrow adds that she still believes marriage creates a “beautiful and noble” union.
Meanwhile, there is one male in Gwyneth Paltrow’s life to have earned some harsh criticism from the Goop founder and he is United States president and long-time friend of Paltrow, Barack Obama. Ms. Paltrow was promoting her latest cookbook, It’s All Easy, when the actress turned lifestyle guru criticized Obama for his position on labeling genetically modified foods.
“I’ve been disappointed in Obama’s stance on G.M.O.s and the public’s right to know what’s in its food,” Paltrow said. “88 percent of Americans want labeling.”
This is a subject that hits close to home for Gwyneth. She has made her Goop company a priority over her acting career, ensuring that the Goop brand offers advice and products to improve the quality of life through cleaner living. In fact, other than the recent films Iron Man (and sequels), Mortdecai, and the upcoming Captain America: Civil War, Gwyneth has expressed a desire to break from acting to focus even more fully on Goop and the new company’s line of beauty products.
