‘Shahs Of Sunset’ Mike Shouhed Stays Positive Amid Jessica Parido Divorce

Mike Shouhed went through a rough time during filming on the fifth season of Shahs of Sunset.

Just months after tying the knot with Jessica Parido, the two parted ways. As cameras rolled for the Bravo reality series, Mike Shouhed’s wife wasted no time moving on. In fact, just two days after E! News confirmed Mike Shouhed’s wife had filed for divorce in November 2015, Us Weekly shared photos of Parido with her new boyfriend, Karlen Shubaralyan.

According to E! News, Parido filed for divorce from Mike Shouhed after just under eight months of marriage, claiming to have been separated from her former partner since August 1, 2015. In a statement, Mike Shouhed’s rep confirmed the news was true and revealed that Parido had cut ties with Mike Shouhed after learning he had cheated on her two years ago before they wed in March 2015.

Although Mike Shouhed attempted to mend his relationship with Parido in the months after their separation, he was unable to do so. A short time later, she surfaced in West Hollywood with Shubaralyan, who TMZ claimed purchased her a white Rolls Royce just weeks into their romance.

Days later, Mike Shouhed accepted the news of his split and hired a lawyer to represent him in his divorce.

“Today has been a bitter sweet!” Mike Shouhed announced to his fans and followers on Facebook in December 2015. “I finally worked up the courage to hire my divorce attorney. I knew when I hire her, that the process of our split will really start. I guess I felt that subconsciously me and my ex may get back together.”

“I can’t lie, she will always hold a special part in my heart. I loved her!” Mike Shouhed wrote. “I thought that she would be the mother of my children. Almost 5 years together…inseparable! So many memories. Met her when she was 21…a baby. I watched her grow up. It was an honor to be her partner and teach her all the things I did. Little did I know, that she taught me twice as much as I taught. We had many many many ups and downs, but I realize that everything happened for a reason. She wasn’t my destiny!”

Mike Shouhed may not have been the one to file for divorce, but when it comes to moving forward, he’s appeared to do just that in the months that have followed his split. As he revealed in his post, he’s changed for the better since splitting from Parido last year.

“I’ve grown so much over the course of the last several months. I’m not and will never be the man I once was. God is great, and the universe has a plan for me. I’m excited to see where I go from here,” he added.

Despite the hard times he faced during Shahs of Sunset Season 5, Mike Shouhed is looking forward to the upcoming season of the show. On April 7, he posted a positive message to fans on Twitter about the coming months.
