Anne Hathaway Gives Birth, Welcomes Baby Boy With Husband Adam Shulman
Anne Hathaway has given birth. The actress and her husband, Adam Shulman, welcome their first child together — a baby boy! According to E! News, Hathaway gave birth to son Jonathan Rosebanks Shulman on March 24. The Princess Diaries star went into labor and delivered in Los Angeles, right on schedule.
“The baby is extremely healthy and is surrounded by friends and family in L.A. Anne and Adam are ecstatic to be parents,” a source said. Hathaway has not released a statement or posted about her baby joy on social media just yet, but fans are hoping that the actress will share a photo of her precious new bundle of joy soon.
Anne Hathaway and Adam Shulman got married in Big Sur in Sept. 2012 after dating for about four years. Although Anne has wanted to become a mother for a long time, she waited a little while before getting pregnant.
“Oh, my God. I want to be a mother, and I anticipate loving my children quite fiercely. I think about it all the time, though it’s a silly thing to think about because the kind of mother I’ll be depends on the kind of children I have. I can’t wait to meet them,” Hathaway told Vogue back in 2013.
Anne Hathaway was obviously elated when she found out she was pregnant. She has had wild success in her career, but once she got a bit of a break, she decided that it was time for her to become a mom.
While promoting Rio, Hathaway talked about some very real concerns that she had when it came to having a baby and being a celebrity. Working on a children’s movie made Hathaway think about having kids even more.
“I’m the only one here who’s not a mother. I hope to join the ranks soon. I’m thinking about [the paparazzi] because I really want to have a baby, and my husband and I are like, ‘Where are we gonna live?'” Hathaway said at the time. It’s unknown what her and Adam have decided, or if they will raise their baby away from the hullabaloo that is Hollywood.
Speaking of Anne Hathaway’s career, the actress may have even more exciting news in the coming months. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, the actress might be adjusting her crown, reprising her role as Princess Mia in The Princess Diaries 3.
“I was with Anne Hathaway a couple of weeks ago, it looks like we want to do Princess Diaries 3 in Manhattan. Anne Hathaway is very pregnant, so we have to wait until she has the baby and then I think we’re going to do it,” Princess Diaries director Garry Marshall said, according to People Magazine.
Now that Anne Hathaway has given birth to her baby boy, she may end up sitting down and discussing the role with Marshall and the producers, but not right away. Based on how Anne has talked about motherhood, it sounds like she will more than likely want to enjoy these first couple of months (at least) at home with baby Jonathan. As of now, Hathaway’s IMDb page has nothing scheduled for her. The last film she worked on, Alice Through The Looking Glass is due in theaters on May 27. It is unknown if the actress will be attending any of the upcoming premieres or press events.
