Gwen Stefani And Blake Shelton Want To Be Married Before Welcoming A Child

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have been dating for several months and as their relationship continues, so do rumors of a pregnancy, engagement, and impending wedding.

Despite the ongoing rumors, Gwen Stefani is not confirmed to be pregnant or engaged, and a new report claims fans shouldn’t expect to see a baby bump anytime soon, as Gwen Stefani wants to be married before welcoming any more children.

“[Gwen Stefani] wants to take on a few more career goals and not get into having a child right now, but that is nothing against Blake in any way, shape, or form,” a sourced revealed to Hollywood Life on April 4. “They are enjoying being together without the baby. They would hope to be married before anything like that happened anyways.”

The outlet went on to reveal that the mother of three and her boyfriend, who has no children of his own, were planning on taking the next step in their relationship before allowing a pregnancy to happen, and that means preparing for an engagement and wedding.

In February, when Gwen Stefani and Shelton made their red carpet debut as a couple, Gwen Stefani was wearing a suspicious ring on her engagement finger, but since then, the ring has been removed. Still, the rumors regarding the possibility of an engagement press on, the latest of which was shared by the Parent Herald on April 7.

As for their plans for a baby, one magazine claimed the couple has already taken steps to make it happen.

“[Gwen Stefani] is freezing her eggs because she wants to have a baby with Blake,” a source told In Touch Weekly of the 46-year-old last month. “She’d love to have a girl — plus [Gwen Stefani] knows her boys would love to have another sibling — and wants to give Blake this opportunity to have a child that biologically his. But she doesn’t want her age to prevent this from happening.”

“Even though Blake is insisting he doesn’t need biological children, [Gwen Stefani] isn’t taking any chances,” the source added.

Gwen Stefani and Shelton began dating at the end of last year following her messy split from Gavin Rossdale, who was accused of cheating on her with their former nanny, and his divorce from Miranda Lambert, his former wife of four years. At the time, they were both filming The Voice Season 9 as coaches, and as the show aired, fans saw more and more of their flirtation.

While Gwen Stefani was not expected to be a part of The Voice Season 10 due to her alternating role as coach with Christina Aguilera, NBC opted to reunite her with Shelton on the show, and for weeks, she’s been acting as a mentor for Team Shelton.

In addition to Gwen Stefani and Shelton spending tons of time together as a couple, they’ve also been seen frequently with her three sons, Kingston, 9, Zuma, 7, and Apollo, 2, which goes to show just how serious their relationship has gotten. Last month, Gwen Stefani and her boys traveled to Shelton’s hometown in Oklahoma, where they enjoyed hiking and riding on ATVs during their spring break from school.
