Carrie Underwood Extends ‘The Storyteller Tour’ — See The New Dates
Carrie Underwood is extending her uber-popular “Storyteller Tour.”
Underwood announced earlier today that she will be extending her latest tour around the U.S., which will see Carrie on the road until the huge production wraps on November 28 in Utah.
Carrie Underwood’s latest string of shows, which includes more than 35 extra concerts in arenas around North America, features high-profile stops for Carrie at New York’s iconic Madison Square Garden, the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, and a stay at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.
“I always love being on the road performing for my fans,” Underwood revealed in a statement after her new shows were announced earlier today, adding that she feels her latest string of shows “feels more magnetic than ever.”
Carrie also spoke out about the tour’s production following the big tour announcement, which includes a huge stage that stretches more than 150 feet across the arena floor to allow Underwood to play her biggest hits, including “Before He Cheats,” “Good Girl,” and “Blown Away,” for fans in the round.
“Having a 360-degree view of the audience gives me the opportunity to connect with more fans and feed off their energy,” Carrie Underwood said, adding, “I can’t wait to continue this tour into the fall!”
It was previously announced that Carrie Underwood’s latest tour, her first since 2012’s “The Blown Away Tour,” was one of Carrie’s most successful to date after the country superstar completely sold out the first nine stops. Carrie’s set also includes a center lift that raises Underwood 18 feet into the air.
Underwood previously revealed that she’s making her latest tour a family affair, confessing that her 1-year-old son, Isaiah, has been joining her on the road on the first leg of shows, which had more than 52 stops in North America and Europe.
Speaking out to Taste of Country last year, Carrie Underwood revealed that she actually opted to baby proof her bus so her bundle of joy could be by her side as she hits the road.
“In the back there’s my bed, and then on the other wall is a crib that you can take the side panel down,” Underwood said of how she’s transformed her tour bus to become more of a family-friendly environment.
“It’s just built in so he’s secure in his bed and he can have his own space and everything. It all slides out so he’ll have plenty of room to roam around,” Carrie added.
