Are Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton Planning For A Baby? [Report]

They may have only been officially dating for a few months, but reports are claiming that Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton “wouldn’t be against” welcoming a new baby into the world.

The new claims come from Hollywood Life, who are reporting that a source close to The Voice couple said they aren’t exactly trying for a baby right now but would be pretty excited should they be blessed with a new bundle of joy.

“They would be surprised if she got pregnant since they are not actively trying for a baby, but they wouldn’t be against it,” a source close to Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton told the gossip site of the couple earlier this week, adding that Blake and Gwen wouldn’t consider a pregnancy to be “an accident or a mistake.”

But while Hollywood Life is claiming that Shelton wouldn’t be against having a baby with Stefani, who already has two children from her previous relationship with Gavin Rossdale, the site reported that Gwen and Blake probably won’t be welcoming a new baby into the world anytime soon.

“Gwen Stefani wants to take on a few more career goals and not get into having a child right now, but that is nothing against Blake in any way, shape or form,” Hollywood Life‘s insider revealed this week, admitting that Stefani and her boyfriend are currently “enjoying being together without a baby.”

Seeing as Gwen and Blake only officially announced their romance this past November, it sounds like the loved-up couple will probably want to wait a while before welcome a child into the world, despite In Touch Weekly‘s recent claims that Gwen was planning on “freezing her eggs” so that she and Shelton can have a baby.

The gossip site bizarrely quoted a source close to Stefani and Shelton earlier this week, who alleged that Gwen is actually planning to freeze her eggs so that she and Blake can have a baby together further down the line in their relationship.

“She’d love to have a girl — plus Gwen knows her boys would love to have another sibling — and wants to give him this opportunity to have a child that biologically his,” the source supposedly told the site of Gwen and Blake’s baby plans, adding that Stefani “doesn’t want her age to prevent this from happening.”

“Even though Blake is insisting he doesn’t need biological children, Gwen isn’t taking any chances,” the source claimed to In Touch Weekly this week.

But while neither Stefani nor Shelton is publicly speaking out regarding any baby rumors, there’s no doubting that the couple haven’t exactly been shy when it comes to gushing over each other while spending some quality time together on the current season of NBC’s The Voice.

Though Gwen may be sitting out this season as a coach, the “God Gave Me You” singer brought back his girl as a his key advisor for a recent episode of the singing show, where The Daily Mail reported that the two couldn’t seem to seem to hold back their compliments and gushing public displays of affection for each other.

According to the site, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani shared a number of sweet moments together while Gwen helped her man to mentor his current The Voice team, which also included a loved-up moment where Shelton even referred to the “Used To Love You” singer as “Hot.”
