Adam Lambert & Sam Smith Spotted On ‘Flirty’ Night Out — Are They Dating?

Could Adam Lambert and Sam Smith be music’s next big power couple?

According to a new report by the Mirror, Smith and Lambert were recently spotted looking pretty cozy while out together at New York club No. 8 on March 3 and appeared to be getting closer after the two became friends last year.

“Sam and Adam have been friends for a while and often text each other but seem to have grown closer recently,” a source revealed to the Mirror of Lambert and Smith’s relationship.

The insider also added that Adam and Sam have been spending more and more time together in recent weeks, with Smith even attending Lambert’s show at New York’s Terminal 5 before the two hit the town together for Adam’s Big Apple after show party.

“They’re often quite flirty and Sam went to Adam’s sold out concert in New York last week after he went to one of Sam’s concerts in the U.K.,” the Mirror’s source confirmed.

Adam confirmed that he and Sam have been spending some quality time together recently when he shared a very cozy snap of the two together at his New York after-party on his Instagram page on March 5, where he teased that Smith was being “camera shy” as he turned his body to Lambert’s.

But despite making it pretty clear that he and Sam have been partying pretty hard together, neither Adam nor Sam have officially confirmed or denied that they’re actually a couple.

Although the two may be staying tight-lipped on any possible blossoming romances, Adam has been a little more vocal about his admiration for Smith in the past, even revealing to Billboard last year that he and Sam had bonded “and commiserated on how it is to be gay in the media.”

Lambert also confirmed in the December interview that he was single but “boy crazy” and joked that he was actually dating his most recent album, The Original High.

“I don’t know what I want in relationships, which is probably the reason I’m pouring my energy into my work,” Adam said at the time.

Adam Lambert also opened up about Sam in a candid interview with the Daily Star, where he confessed that he was “a big fan” of Smith’s work and even hinted that he and Smith may team up in the studio in the not too distant future.

“I think the world could handle it,” Lambert teased of an Adam and Sam collaboration.

“I think he’s great. I would be up for an all-male duet if the song was great and the artist was right,” Adam coyly added.

Lambert also gushed about Smith to Australia’s News.com.au last year, where he described Sam as “amazing” and revealed that the two often text each other to discuss their similarities, including being openly gay in the music business music.

“I have a lot of respect for him. We text each other every once in a while about that. It’s not an easy thing to navigate,” Adam confessed at the time. “With Sam’s experience, there are some similarities with mine. You can say one thing in an interview after talking for 20 minutes, and all of a sudden, that becomes the only headline.”

“So in order to try and make the interview about music you have to start saying: ‘I don’t want to talk about that,’ and it’s a shame,” Adam continued to News.com.au. “As an artist you’re all of those things, you’re a musician, you’re a person, your age and your race and your background, it’s the whole package.”
