Rob Zombie And Korn Bring ‘The Return Of The Dreads’

Rob Zombie is getting together with Korn to present one of the most anticipated concert events of the summer. Touring as the “Return of the Dreads,” Zombie and Korn will embark on the tour to be produced by Live Nation with dates scheduled for as early as July.

Return Of The Dreads Brings Korn And Rob Zombie To Venue In 25 Major Cities

According to Icon Versus Icon, “Return of the Dreads” will offer fans an opportunity to see Rob Zombie in concert, which alone is a rare event with music taking a backseat to Zombie’s preference for filmmaking in recent years. That alone makes “Return of the Dreads” an event to be remembered.

Preceding the “Return of the Dreads” tour, Rob Zombie will release a new album, entitled The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser, which will be released through UMe/T-Boy Records on April 29. Backing up Zombie on the album will be guitarist John 5, bassist Piggy D, and Ginger Fish on drums.

Here’s a look at the new single, “Well, Everybody’s F—ing In A U.F.O.,” which debuted last month.

Meanwhile, Korn is beginning to put a new album together, though this one won’t be out in time for “Return of the Dreads.” Korn has announced that they have selected a producer for the album, but haven’t revealed the name.

Of the new album, Korn guitarist Brian “Head” Welch said it will be “heavier than anyone’s heard Korn in a long time… just the beginning stages are proof of that to me.”

It will be a welcome change to see Korn return to the harder sounds of their younger periods. While the “Return of the Dreads” tour may be kicking off before this new album is delivered to the public, Korn may debut one or two new songs while on tour. It seems unlikely that Korn would hit the road without at least one new song, considering how closely they plan the release of a new album.
