Gwen Stefani And Blake Shelton: Pharrell Williams Calls Couple A ‘Miracle,’ Christina Aguilera Might Not Agree

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s relationship has reportedly roiled The Voice coach Christina Aguilera, who is allegedly engaged in a bitter feud with Blake. However, Pharrell Williams recently revealed that he’s a huge Shefani fan.

Pharrell shared his thoughts about Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s blossoming romance during an interview on Today. The “Happy” singer told Carson Daly and Savannah Guthrie that Gwen and Blake’s relationship is “popping off,” and he said that witnessing their love story firsthand was a “beautiful” experience. Pharrell also opened up about what it was like watching his friends and co-workers suffer through their divorces before finding love with each other.

“It’s so beautiful because, you know being there, I watched both of them go through a lot, and you hate to see you friends go through something so heavy,” Pharrell said, according to Gossip Cop.

Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale announced that they were ending their marriage of 13 years in August of last year, and Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert shared the sad news of their split one month earlier. The country stars were married for four years before they decided to call it quits.

It was tough for Pharrell to watch two people that he cared experience heartbreak at the same time, but the timing of Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s marriage meltdowns actually ended up being a blessing in disguise—the “Honeybee” singer and the Hollaback Girl were able to find comfort with each other while they recovered from their splits. Even though Gwen and Blake got a bit flirty while working together on The Voice, Pharrell says that he was clueless about their romance at first.

“It was kind of like a miracle, man, just watching that,” Pharrell said. “And I had no idea.”

Instead of telling Pharrell about his relationship with Gwen Stefani in person, an uncharacteristically shy Blake Shelton decided to let his fellow coach know about the new love of his life via text.

Shefani only happened because Christina Aguilera temporarily vacated her seat on The Voice, and now that Christina has taken her coaching slot back from Gwen Stefani, there are rumors that there’s not as much love on the set of the show. Even though Gwen was allowed to return to this season of the NBC singing competition as Blake’s adviser, sources say that her cowboy beau isn’t completely satisfied with this setup. According to Radar Online, Blake is so upset that Gwen is no longer a coach that he’s taking his frustration out on Christina Aguilera.

“It’s his mission to make this as uncomfortable as possible for her so that she will not want to return next season.”

However, Radar‘s source claims that Christina isn’t letting Blake get under her skin and is acting like her normal “diva” self.

Gwen Stefani has also hinted that she’s not a big fan of working on The Voice as an adviser even though she loves being on the show. During an 97.1 AMP Radio interview, she told Carson Daly that she really struggled with her new role.

“It was hard, Carson, I have to say! I was so excited to come back, but being that there was three layers of things: Working with any other coach, you’re going to be a little nervous and insecure because it’s not your team,” Gwen said, according to E! News. “You don’t want to step on anyone’s toes. So, there was that. Then on top of that, I’m not country and there was a lot of country artists and [Blake’s] super country… And then on top of that, the obvious stuff.”

Luckily, as The Inquisitr previously reported, The Voice powers-that-be have come up with a solution that will possibly make everyone happy—Gwen Stefani and Christina Aguilera might actually get to compete against one another on a future season of The Voice. If Blake Shelton keeps his seat when this happens, it means that Pharrell Williams or Adam Levine will have to vacate one of theirs. There’s no word on how they feel about this idea.

There will always be naysayers who claim that this potential scenario will never happen because Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s relationship will end before they get a chance to appear together on The Voice again, but Shefani skeptics might not want to bet on the couple calling it quits anytime soon. According to Us Weekly, sources close to the couple have said that Gwen and Blake’s relationship is “definitely serious,” which is evidenced by all the PDA that they enjoy partaking in so much.

People recently reported that Gwen loves the fact that Blake loves her three sons, because she initially thought that being a divorced mother of that many kids would make dating difficult. Hollywood Life reports that Gavin Rossdale is jealous of the way Gwen, Blake, and the boys already act like a happy little family, and friends of Gwen and Blake say that they see a “longterm future” for the couple.

Do you think Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton will ultimately end up walking down the aisle, and would you like to see both of them face off against Christina Aguilera during a future episode of The Voice?
