As the Powerball jackpot continues to roll, more people are playing Powerball and showing great excitement about the lottery game. Powerball is a multi-state game and is played in 44 states, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Washington, D.C. The game is governed by the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL) and is the most popular jackpot lottery game in the nation. One of the reasons Powerball is increasing in popularity is due to having large jackpots that can grow to increasing heights. The Jan. 13 $1.58 billion Powerball jackpot was the largest jackpot known to any lottery game. As the MUSL initiated changes to the way Powerball is played, the odds of winning the jackpot became more difficult while the odds of winning non-jackpot prizes became easier. These changes have created great interest in the game as more people play and try their luck at winning the jackpot.

There are nine ways to win at Powerball. The grand prize is to match all five white balls and the red Power Ball to claim the jackpot prize. The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292,201,338. It’s amazing to think about the odds of winning the jackpot and that three winning tickets were sold for the incredible $1.58 billion jackpot. The three tickets were sold in Florida, Tennessee, and California. Of the three Powerball jackpot winners, the California Powerball winner has yet to come forward and claim their share of the winnings. As the California Powerball winner has yet to make their claim, many people have suggested that the Powerball winner has died. In fact, several days after the historic win, social media networks were filled with stories that the Powerball winner came forward, collected their win, bought cocaine, and overdosed. This is not true and is a rumor. The California Powerball winner has up to one year to collect their claim and it’s possible that they are simply waiting for an opportune time to come forward and collect their winnings.

The Tennessee Powerball winners came forward immediately following their win. Many people were surprised at how quickly they went public, but they did and stated that they weren’t going to make any sudden changes to their lifestyle. The Tennessee Powerball winners are John and Lisa Robinson and they appeared on the Today Show, followed by an appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show. The Florida Powerball winners came forward in February and held a press conference discussing their incredible win.

Stay tuned as we’ll have the live Powerball drawing video along with the winning numbers as soon as the drawing takes place. Good luck!
