Did Selena Gomez Diss Justin Bieber With A Lil Wayne Song On Instagram? She Deletes Post, Threatens To Delete Account

Selena Gomez was involved in some serious online drama on Thursday, February 25.

After “liking” a video of her ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber, the day before, Selena Gomez, 23 was accused of “missing” her former flame. Then, hours later, Selena Gomez seemingly shot down the idea in a major way, when she posted a video of herself singing along to Lil Wayne’s song, “Single.”

In the Instagram clip, which has since been deleted, Selena Gomez rapped with Lil Wayne, proclaiming, “I’m single,” and singing, “I sure did go through that motherf***er’s s**t.”

Nearly immediately, fans on her page assumed she was dissing Bieber, and possibly hinting that he wasn’t faithful to her during their years-long relationship.

“That’s a joke. I was singing to Lil Wayne. My life isn’t about my ex,” Selena Gomez explained, according to a report by E! News on February 25. “Please screen shot what my comment was so that people know.”

Selena Gomez and Bieber split in 2013, but ever since, their relationship has continued to be a hot topic for their fans, and many want “Jelena” to be reborn.

“I want to delete my Instagram. There’s no drama. Everyone else creates drama. Including this post,” Selena Gomez reportedly continued.

Selena Gomez’s ex-boyfriend has been making his desire to be single quite clear for the last few months, and she has, as well. While Selena Gomez was spotted with Samuel Krost and Niall Horan at the end of last year, she confirmed at the Grammy Awards earlier this month that she was single. Meanwhile, Bieber has been out with a number of famous faces in recent weeks.

From October until December of last year, Bieber, 21, was linked to 36-year-old Kourtney Kardashian, a mother of three who was newly single after leaving partner Scott Disick in July. However, after a number of nightclub outings, and a late-night visit to his hotel room, the romance seemed to fizzle, and Bieber moved on with model Hailey Baldwin, a close friend of Kardashian’s younger sister, Kendall Jenner.

According to E! News, Selena Gomez’s Instagram outburst wasn’t her first. In 2014, she fired back at a fan who said she should “burn in h— with cancer.”

“The comment you left about cancer was absurd. How distasteful of a young woman,” Selena Gomez wrote. “I have gone through that battle with fans and family members. You can dislike someone but to wish something that could happen to you or your family is uncalled for sweetheart. You won’t be winning ‘anyone’s’ heart that way. Trust me. Educate yourself a tad more. God bless love. Be an amazing woman. You’re beautiful.”

As for Selena Gomez “liking” a video of herself and Bieber on Instagram earlier this week, a source recently said she likes to keep him close.

“[Selena Gomez] isn’t very interested in getting back together with Justin, but she always wants to keep him near so to speak and have her in his mind always,” a source told Hollywood Life on February 25. “That is why she likes statuses or pictures of him.”

Selena Gomez and Bieber were last photographed together in December of last year, at which point the former couple was seen walking with Gomez’s hand on his shoulder in Los Angeles. They also both attended the Grammy Awards (Selena Gomez was a presenter and Justin Bieber was a performer), but no photos of them together have surfaced.
