‘Teen Mom’: Did Amber Portwood’s Boyfriend Ask Farrah Abraham Out First?
Did Teen Mom OG star Amber Portwood’s fiance, Matt Baier, hit on her co-star Farrah Abraham first? After weeks of speculation about Matt’s intentions with Amber, new claims have shocked fans and made them wonder if Matt has ulterior motives.
According to Radar Online, Matt Baier, who is currently engaged to be married to Teen Mom OG star Amber Portwood, set his sights on her co-star Farrah Abraham first.
Back in 2014, when Matt Baier joined Twitter, 24-year-old Teen Mom OG star Farrah Abraham was one of the first people he reached out to, and she seemingly followed him back.
“@F1abraham thanks for the follow. I’m a big fan and u r very beautiful,” he wrote.
However, Amber Portwood’s fiance didn’t stop there. Not much later, Matt tweeted the Teen Mom again, writing, “I think they should do a teen mom beauty pageant. Although @F1abraham would win in a landslide.”
Matt, who seemed to be a Teen Mom fan before ever meeting Amber Portwood, then responded to a tweet Farrah Abraham posted about online dating, saying, “Farrah forget online dating. I’d be honored to take u out.”
It seems that when Farrah Abraham ignored the tweets, Matt Baier set his sights on her Teen Mom OG co-star Amber Portwood, whom he began dating in October of that year. The couple got engaged only a few months later and are currently planning their wedding.
However, Teen Mom OG fans know that there has been some recent controversy surrounding Matt Baier and Amber Portwood’s relationship.
It all started when Portwood’s ex-boyfriend Gary Shirley, and the father of her daughter Leah, found child support cases against Matt Baier online that seemed to suggest that he had seven children; he had told Amber Portwood that he only had two children.
When the Teen Mom asked her man if he really did have seven children, he denied that the documents were true and that they were lies. However, Amber Portwood admitted that due to Matt’s background with substance abuse, she believed he may have fathered more children than just the two he told her about.
Matt recently admitted that he has five children, telling In Touch Weekly, “I have five children [ranging in age from 13 to 25], and all of them have come from long-term relationships.”
Matt Baier went on to explain that Amber Portwood has met his children and that the couple have a strong relationship with no secrets from each other. The Teen Mom star says that Gary Shirley has apologized for calling him out in front of the cameras and hopes fans and viewers of the MTV reality show will do the same and see that he and Amber really do have a strong relationship.
In the past, two women have come forward with unflattering stories about Matt Baier. One claimed that Matt contacted her after seeing her on TV, and they struck up a friendship. However, he eventually ended up stealing money from her. Another woman says that Matt fathered her daughter but left them shortly after. Later, when he met her for the first time, the Teen Mom star allegedly introduced himself as his “sperm donor,” so he was kicked out of the home. Both women have warned Amber Portwood about Baier, telling her to be careful around him and calling him things such as a con-man.
Could there be trouble on the horizon for Teen Mom Amber Portwood and her fiance Matt Baier? Only time will tell.
