Rumors have been swirling about Gwen Stefani and Christina Aguilera. The Voice co-hosts have reportedly been feuding prior to the Season 10 premiere.

Is there fireworks backstage at NBC’s singing competition? Reports surfaced that Christina Aguilera and Gwen Stefani are feuding because they both want in on the red swivel seat that’s reserved for one female judge per season. Not only is Aguilera, 35, returning as a fellow co-host alongside Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and Pharrell Williams, Stefani, 46, is also said to return to the new season.

Instead of filling in as a coach, she will return as a mentor on one of Blake Shelton’s teams, of course. According to an HNGN report, Christina is so happy to have Gwen back on the show with her. Despite the rumors about their catty feud, the “Love Your Body” singer revealed to Parade magazine that she would love to see more women on the male-dominated show.

“When Gwen came on, I remember telling her, I think at Zuma’s birthday party, I was, like, eight months pregnant, I was just like do me one favor when you go in. Please, give the boys hell. Break the girl curse. And it still hasn’t been done yet. I know she’s rooting me on too, to come cry and fix that. She’ll be around. She’ll be around, I’m sure. I’m going to get her to take my side against you guys. Girl power.”

This comes on the heels of a report in the Hollywood Life about Christina Aguilera and Adam Levine making jokes at the expense of Gwen Stefani’s romance with Blake Shelton. But don’t worry; it was all in good fun.

It all started when the 39-year-old Maroon 5 front man revealed who his mentor is going to be. Levine referenced Stefani’s old band, No Doubt, in his witty answer.

“My mentor…I always looked for somebody that I respect. That, you know, I know that when they give their opinion, I will have no doubt…..I’ll agree with their take, but it’ll be a different angle at the same time.”

Christina had to join in on the fun, too. “That s**t is bananas,” she laughed hysterically. “Come on now.”

Adam took it further by throwing in a No Doubt song. “Don’t speak, you’ve said too much.”

Even though rumors swirled earlier this year that Christina Aguilera and Gwen Stefani were in a feud with one another, recent reports suggest that things have since cooled down between them. Stefani has reportedly reached out to Aguilera so that they could settle their differences and get to know each other better.

An alleged inside source previously revealed to the Hollywood Life that Gwen invited Christina and her boyfriend Matthew Rutler out to dinner along with her and Blake. The source added that the reason behind the nice gesture was that the style icon wanted to clear the air with Christina, and wanted to let her know that she has no intentions of replacing her on The Voice.

Meanwhile, another source told Radar Online that Aguilera has been nothing but difficult on the set of the show, despite their decisions to have her back. She showed up hours late on set with her own glam squad. Aguilera wanted the show centered around her and her people, so both her co-hosts and producers allowed her to have her way since it’s easier than just fighting with diva.

The source then added that filming with Christina is “night and day” compared to filming with Gwen. Ouch!

While Stefani joins Shelton’s team for the new season, Aguilera will be joined by Miley Cyrus. Cyrus confirmed the rumors when she shared several photos of herself with the singer on social media.
