Kanye West To Launch New Album Next Week, Doesn’t Have Name For It Yet

American hip hop star Kanye West is set to release his latest album at his Yeezy fashion show on February 11, at Madison Square Garden at 4 p.m. EST/2 p.m. MST.

In addition to Yeezy Season 3 fashion show, the rapper released tickets for the music event on Thursday. The tickets were made available for purchase from kanyewest.com.

Aside from the live theatrical show, the fashion event and album launch will also be live streamed to a number of theaters nationwide. In total, 700 theaters across 23 countries will air the album listening party.

However, West’s website pointed out that tickets cannot be bought from the theaters, but from his online ticket store only.

The release of the tickets should have been made a month ago, according to reports. However, it seemed the late release of tickets did not bother West’s fans.

In just 10 minutes after going on sale, West announced on Twitter that all the tickets have sold out.

General admission tickets were sold at about $25, while Kanye’s website also offered some ticket packages: album download priced at $35, album download and T-shirt for $75, album download and hoodie for $128, album download and jean jacket for around $500, and a package that includes all items for just under $600.

“On February 11th these dreams come true,” Kanye West posted on social media, shortly after making the announcement.

Some of the highlights of the show at MSG include Yeezy Season 3, where West, 38, showcases his artistic side through his fashion designs and creations.

In addition, there will also be a live performance by multimedia and performance artist Vanessa Beecroft. Unknown to many, Beecroft, 46, has already worked with Kanye West in many performances, and has even directed his music video for “Runaway.”

Aside from her collaborations with West, Beecroft is also an artist that utilizes nude female models. Her edgy style might be unfamiliar to most music fans, but reports state that she has been doing it for 20 years now.

Naturally, among the highlights of the show is the world launch of West’s newest album. However, it is worth noting that the Keeping Up with the Kardashians reality star has not yet decided what he will name the album.

During a radio appearance on Thursday, West was asked directly what the name of his album is. He just replied with: “We don’t have a name… yet.”

With less than a week before the fashion show and album launch, Kanye West could be getting anxious that his album does not have a title yet. Several possible names that have been reported in the past include So Help Me God, SWISH, and just recently, Waves.

West is reportedly struggling to come up with a name and his wife, Kim Kardashian, has put up a poll on Twitter, asking fans for album title ideas.

In spite of all that, it seems West is unfazed and not worried. He just said that what Kim did shows how they treat his fans – just like family.

Earlier this week on Twitter, West also revealed the album to be a “gospel album,” although he said in the radio interview on Thursday that it is a “gospel album with a whole lot of cursing on it.”

He pointed out though, that he is trying to “open up hearts, minds” with the album.

Kanye West is clearly excited and proud of his upcoming album, which he claims to become one of the best in history. One track from the album is Kanye’s first collaboration with Kendrick Lamar entitled “No More Parties in L.A.”
