Stephanie Seymour?? Getting Alcohol Rehab Treatment After Her DUI
Stephanie Seymour?? is headed to alcohol rehab to receive treatment, following the supermodel’s DUI in Greenwich, Connecticut. Applying for the treatment program could dismiss the 47-year-old’s drunk driving charge, reports NY Daily News.
“This is an ordinary first-offender drunk driving case where our experience is that most first offenders do not drive drunk again,” says the attorney of Stephanie Seymour, Phillip Russell. “Ms. Seymour has been appropriate throughout this whole process and is behaving like a first offender.”
“After six or seven requests for her license, registration and insurance, she finally was able to fumble through her purse as she handed over her Connecticut driver’s license along with a credit card,” according to the police report.
Phillip Russell caught up with the Connecticut Post outside the court, telling them that Seymour felt “embarrassed.”
“Ms. Seymour had a career in fashion, but in this instance she is just like 3,500 other motorists in Connecticut who have made a similar error,” Russell said. “She is not looking for any special treatment or preferential treatment of any kind. Hopefully this will be the most uneventful DWI charge that this court has ever handled. Anyone facing this charge has to look at their personal habits and I think that is exactly what these habits are, they are personal and not something which bears public scrutiny.”
In 2000, Stephanie Seymour was admitted into a luxurious rehab center, Silver Hill Hospital. Ten years later, her husband Peter Brant accused her of drug and alcohol abuse, while they were in the middle of a divorce. The couple originally married in June of 1995 in Paris. Both Seymour and Brant underwent drug testing and it is not currently known whether or not they are still together.
