Harry Styles Tweets Taylor Swift Lyric: Is Haylor Back Together?
On his 22nd birthday, Harry Styles tweeted Taylor Swift lyrics, making fans wonder what the heck it means. Some were holding out hope for a Haylor reunion, while others thought the singer was throwing shade.
In case you didn’t notice, the couple name “Haylor” was trending Twitter early in the day on Monday, February 1. That’s because former One Direction member Harry Styles tweeted the lyrics to Taylor Swift’s single “22” on his birthday. He was obviously feeling 22 because it is his 22nd birthday.
He quoted the lyrics from his famous ex-girlfriends 2013 single, “I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling 22.”
Less than an hour after Styles’ tweet was posted, it received over 240,000 retweets — and counting.

Of course, Harry and Taylor’s fans freaked out when they noticed the tweet. The couple dated briefly back in 2012. Although several years have passed and Taylor has happily moved on with DJ Calvin Harris, some fans are holding out hope for a Haylor reunion. But Harry has been spotted with model Kendall Jenner over New Year’s Eve weekend on a private yacht, although the two have yet to confirm the status of their relationship.
“Perfect” off One Direction’s latest album, Made In The A.M., was said to be about the country-turned-pop star. Some fans even speculated that the song was a response to “Style,” especially since the two songs sounded similar in style. When James Corden asked Harry the meaning behind the song, he said that it was up to the fans’ interpretation.
“People can interpret a lot of different things in different ways. And I’m not going to tell someone it’s not about what they think it’s about, because I think the whole point is – it’s about whatever it means to you.”
Ellen DeGeneres asked him if he ever had a song written about him. He vaguely responded, “I have.”
While some were hoping for a Haylor reunion, most of Taylor Swift’s fans weren’t happy when Harry Styles tweeted the lyric to celebrate his birthday. It’s apparent that they’re still bitter that he left her on a boat to party with some older folks. They assumed that Harry was throwing shade at his ex by tweeting the lyric, but an insider told the Hollywood Life that it’s not the case at all.
“Friends and family have been joking with him about getting older and it was Louis [Tomlinson] actually who brought up the reference and Harry thought it was hilarious and thought that he would have some fun with it. So he did the tweet. His intentions were in no way to get Taylor, Calvin [Harris], or anyone else upset! He just thought it was hysterical.”
Unfortunately for fans, there was no Hendall reunion on his birthday either. When it comes to Styles’ on-and-off relationship with Jenner, an inside source revealed to The Sun that they decided to cool things off for now.
“Harry doesn’t want to settle down so he would never get a serious girlfriend during this phase of his life.”
The source also added that their relationship was never as serious as it may have looked a few weeks ago. It’s obvious that Styles and Jenner were just casually hooking up during their steamy St. Bart’s vacation.
“Harry and Kendall have got back together before but, in her eyes, it’s very much off at the moment and he’s arguing that it was never even really on.”
