Rob Kardashian Faces Backlash From Family After Driving 1,400 Miles To Pick Up Blac Chyna After Arrest
Rob Kardashian has had an eventful week, and it doesn’t look like things are going to slow down anytime soon. The former Keeping Up With the Kardashians star created quite a rift in his family when Rob and Blac Chyna announced their relationship via Instagram. Since Blac Chyna isn’t exactly a family friend anymore, of course, his sisters weren’t thrilled about the idea of him dating her.
Initially, they suspected she had ulterior motives for dating him and that her interest wasn’t genuine but now, there’s another reason why the Kardashian-Jenner women are protective of Rob Kardashian. Although insiders insisted Kris Jenner had become fond of Blac Chyna because she seems like a positive influence on Rob, her recent arrest may have changed Kris’ perspective.
For those who missed the latest news, Blac Chyna was arrested on Friday, January 29 at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Austin, TX. According to Hollywood Life, she was charged with public intoxication and drug possession.
Almost immediately after her arrest, Rob Kardashian made a beeline to be at her side. In fact, according to People magazine, Rob reportedly drove nearly 1,400 miles to rescue his damsel in distress, but not before facing opposition from his family for doing so.

The publication reports Kris Jenner and Khloe Kardashian tried relentlessly to talk Rob out of making the drive. An insider has revealed they thought it was “insane” for him to make such a long drive to help fight her battles. But, of course, Rob Kardashian reportedly refused to address any of their concerns.
“Khloe and Kris both tried to intervene with Rob rushing to Austin to pick up Blac,” an insider said. “First, they thought it was a crazy journey to make. Then, they told him not to get involved because it’s her mess, and she should have to deal with the consequences.”
Rob Kardashian has been at odds with his family all week. But, his sisters believe he also has a hidden agenda for the relationship with Blac Chyna. Apparently, Kim Kardashian and their mother believe he’s only dating Blac Chyna to spite them. Since Rob has lived such a reclusive lifestyle, isolated from his family for quite sometime, Kim reportedly believes he’s in the relationship as a form of revenge towards them, according to the insider.
“Kris and Kim think he’s just going against everything they believe and is almost doing this to spite them,” an insider said. “He’s defying their wishes. They don’t want Rob hanging with the wrong crowd and fear she will be a bad influence on him.”
The latest reports about Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna follow a string of reports about his recent fallout with his sister, Khloe. According to US Weekly, Rob was kicked out of Khloe’s home earlier this week, which is why he’s moved in with Blac Chyna. The two were reportedly at odds because of the relationship. When Khloe voiced her disapproval of his decision to date Blac Chyna, their argument reportedly escalated and the dispute ended with Rob moving out. An insider has revealed Khloe feels extremely betrayed by Rob’s disregard for his family.
“Rob is living with Blac now that Khloé kicked him out after finding out about him and Blac,” an insider said. “Khloé feels majorly betrayed by Rob after she always stuck up for him. She feels like this is a major blow to the family. Nobody in the family likes it.”
Regardless of how his family feels, it doesn’t look like Rob Kardashian will be leaving Blac Chyna anytime soon. In fact, his recent drive to Texas may prove just how serious he is about the relationship.
