Teresa Giudice House Arrest: ‘Real Housewives Of New Jersey’ Star Banned From Alcohol
Teresa Giudice is currently on house arrest after leaving prison on December 23, 2015, following a near-12-month sentence for crimes of bank and wire fraud.
In October 2014, Teresa Giudice and her husband, Joe, attended a sentencing hearing, where they were both dealt with lengthy sentences for their reported crimes. Following the court appearance, it was revealed to press that the Real Housewives of New Jersey star had been dealt a 15-month sentence, while her husband, Joe, received 41 months behind bars.
As Teresa Giudice resumes filming on The Real Housewives of New Jersey‘s seventh season, which was placed on hold during the time she was incarcerated, details of her house arrest terms have been revealed.
“[Teresa Giudice] can’t consume any alcohol, at home, not even a glass of wine,” an insider revealed to Radar Online, citing Teresa Giudice’s release guidelines. “She is allowed to go to parties where alcohol will be served, but has to get prior approval from her probation officer. Ahead of attending Melissa Gorga’s boutique opening last week, [Teresa Giudice] informed her probation officer that alcohol would be served. She was given the go-ahead.”

“Going to a restaurant that serves booze also requires approval,” the source continued. “[Teresa Giudice] doesn’t mind it because she is just grateful to be home with the family. The probation officer and Teresa are in constant communication daily. Her schedule is also provided to the official.”
While Teresa Giudice is surely happy to be home with her four daughters after spending nearly a year behind bars, which was just short of her full sentence, she’s looking forward to the end of her house arrest, which is scheduled for February 5. At that point, as the source explained, she will finally be able to remove her ankle bracelet.
“Of course she wants the bracelet off,” the source said. “[Teresa Giudice] will continue to be on probation, but won’t be strictly monitored. There has been no chance of Teresa doing anything to mess this up. Going to prison was the wake-up call she needed.”

As Teresa Giudice prepares to return to her normal life as a reality star, author, and mom, her husband is getting ready to turn himself in for his 41-month sentence in early March.
Since leaving the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut, over one month ago, Teresa Giudice has spent plenty of time with her co-stars, including her sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga, whom she had previously feuded with on and off for years. During the holidays, several photos of Teresa Giudice and Gorga were shared, and on New Year’s Eve, the majority of the Season 7 cast of The Real Housewives of New Jersey united for a party in New Jersey, which was also chronicled on social media.
Teresa Giudice has been a part of the New Jersey reality cast since it began, making her the longest-running housewife of the series. However, her co-star and on-again-off-again friend Jacqueline Laurita has also been a part of the series since its start, but since Laurita was demoted ahead of Season 6 and later brought back in a part-time role, Teresa Giudice is still the only full-time cast member who has been featured all series long.
Thus far, there has been no official word on when Teresa Giudice and her Real Housewives of New Jersey co-stars will return to Bravo for Season 7.
