Keith Urban On Making It 10 Years With Nicole Kidman: ‘I’m Still Trying To Get Her To Go Out With Me’
Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman have been together for a long time, 10 years this coming June, and the American Idol judge reveals just what has kept the couple together for so long.
In today’s age of short-lived relationships, a 10 year anniversary is definitely an impressive achievement and Keith isn’t unaware of that, as he talks about his marriage to the Eyes Wide Shut actress.
Keith Urban Spills The Secret To Making It 10 Years As Nicole Kidman’s Husband
Keith’s success in love seems pretty basic. The country music celebrity says that the key is to keep treating your spouse the same way you treated her (or him), when you were first dating. That can sometimes be easier said than done, but, as Keith and Nicole prove, it’s well worth the effort. Mr. Urban adds that finding quality moments with Nicole is the most important thing, especially with both of them living such busy lifestyles.
“Keep dating your wife — that’s it,” Urban explained, before letting on that Kidman still likes to play hard to get. “I’m still trying to get her to go out with me.”
Ms. Kidman and Mr. Urban were wed in Sydney, Australia on June 25, 2006, and, while that anniversary may be fast approaching, Keith says he hasn’t yet made any plans to celebrate the occasion. He might get some suggestions from the two daughters he shares with Nicole. Together, the couple raise daughters Faith Margaret Kidman Urban, 5, and Sunday Rose Kidman Urban, 7.
Still, Keith recognizes that a decade together is nothing to dismiss, particularly when so many Hollywood couples seem unable to last more than a tenth of that time without heading for divorce court.

Nicole Kidman Weaves A Wicked Web In Big Little Lies
There’s still time before that big anniversary rolls around and, in the meantime, Ms. Kidman is off working on a new project for HBO, Big Little Lies. The limited series casts Kidman as one of three mothers of kindergartners with Reese Witherspoon and Shailene Woodley making up the rest of the trio. The seven episode series is adapted from the book of the same name by Liane Moriarty and is described as a dark comedy, wherein the seemingly perfect lives of these three women unravel as they become involved in murder.
David E. Kelley (Boston Legal, Ally McBeal) is writing the episodes, while all seven episodes of Big Little Lies will be produced and directed by Jean-Marc Vallee.
HBO only recently released a more revealing list of supporting cast members. The most notable addition is Alexander Skarsgard as Nicole Kidman’s on-screen husband. Woodley, who will play one of two counterparts to Kidman’s character, will play “Jane, a single mom of modest means and a mysterious past who is new to not only Monterey, but to the complicated social hierarchy of Mesa Elementary School, where her son is a student,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Also joining the cast of Big Little Lies are Jeffrey Nordling, Laura Dern, Santiago Cabrera, P.J. Byrne, Kelen Coleman, Sarah Burns, Darby Camp, Cameron and Nicholas Crovetti, Ivy George, Chloe Coleman, and Virginia Kull.
Nicole took a break from filming the series, upon hearing of David Bowie’s passing, and recalled that the very first concert she attended was a Bowie concert. She says the news that David had passed away really hit her on the set, while filming a yoga class scene. Between takes, “Ziggy Stardust” came on the radio and Kidman says that was when she really lost it and began crying.
“I loved David Bowie,” confessed Nicole Kidman.
