Suicide Squad First Official Trailer Is Ridiculously Fun! [Must-See]
Amid the influx of superhero films in recent years, DC is trying to breathe some fresh air into the genre. Unlike the usual superhero movie recipe, Suicide Squad will feature a team-up of the world’s worst baddies.
The upcoming action film has finally released its first official trailer, and from the looks of it the comic-inspired movie definitely shows some promise.
The trailer is backed by the soaring and screeching vocals of Queen singing “Bohemian Rhapsody,” which certainly enhances the action scenes.

The official trailer begins with the main villains, Deadshot (Will Smith), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), and the other members being thrown in prison. In another scene, what seem to be authorities can be seen holding a meeting to assemble the squad in order to carry out a mission.
Aside from Smith and Robbie, other stars include Cara Delevingne as the Enchantress, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Jay Hernandez as El Diablo, and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as a half human, half crocodile villain.
The agreement is simple: the villains take part in the dangerous mission and the government shortens their time in jail. However, as comic geeks already know, that is actually not the case.
Check Out the Official Trailer of Suicide Squad
The Suicide Squad official trailer is packed with action, explosions, maniacal laughter, and of course, Jared Leto’s version of the Joker.
Even before the trailer was released on the Internet yesterday, there were already reports saying that Leto did a great job in playing the Joker, picking up where the late Heath Ledger left off in the most recent Batman trilogy.
In the video, Joker can be seen holding a tommy gun, laughing crazily on the ground with a bunch of knives surrounding him, and doing what he does best – showing everyone that he’s a psycho.
“It’s a scary character to tackle,” said Suicide Squad director David Ayer. “This iteration of him, people will realize there really is a continuity of history — there is a lot of respect for what the Joker represents, who he is as a character.”

Ayer also mentioned that “people kept their distance” from Leto during rehearsal when he was playing Joker. He wanted him to develop his own methodology in playing the part.
And it seems like Leto succeeded.
In the report, there were, in fact, times that the actor and singer freaked Ayer out “big time,” causing the hairs on his neck to stand on end.
While Leto’s Joker is one of the most awaited portrayals in the upcoming film, it was Robbie’s Harley Quinn who was the certified star of the first official trailer.
In the trailer alone, there are several things that can be discovered, which would be helpful for non-comic readers. Quinn, who was initially a psychologist in the comics, loves reading books, hears voices in her head, and loves stealing “because that’s what they do.”

The comic relief that Harley Quinn brings to an otherwise tense-filled scene is both funny and brilliant. It remains to be seen if there will be a love triangle that involves her, Deadshot, and the Joker.
In conclusion, the first Suicide Squad trailer may have been the first teaser that has allowed DC to showcase what really is in store for comic and action fans.
Based on the trailer, the superhero flick is a fun, explosive, and action-packed film that never takes itself too seriously, much like Fox’s Deadpool, which earned an R-rating.
The Suicide Squad trailer has also gained more attention and positive reaction compared to the second trailer of Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, which some people consider cheesy.
