Rob Kardashian Diagnosed With Type 2 Diabetes — Why Does Kim Make Fun Of His Weight Gain?

Rob Kardashian has been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. It’s not exactly something Rob wanted the public to know since he stays away from the publicity. Also, this particular Kardashian has gained weight over time.

As reports Beliefnet, Rob has chosen to stay out of the public’s eye — unlike his sisters. Surely, you can imagine the transparent life of a celebrity. It’s even worse when you have the Kardashian name attached to you. Well, at least, it’s worse when it’s not preferred. It’s no secret that Rob Kardashian enjoys his privacy and doesn’t care much about family notoriety.

The source also states that Rob isn’t taking or responding to any messages from his family, including texts, calls, or voicemails. But why would Mr. Kardashian be so shut off from his family?

Well, International Business Times points out that Kim — Rob Kardashian’s sister — made fun of him while on Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Essentially, even before Rob’s diabetic issues surfaced, he’s gained weight. And sometimes, people make poor life decisions. Likewise, Mr. Kardashian got a tattoo of Rita Ora on his body.

For one, there’s always risk when placing someone else’s image on your body. It probably would’ve been better if he’d gotten her name instead. To digress, according to the source, Sister Kim mentioned that Robert’s tattoo of Rita “grew from Barbie to Cabbage Patch doll, as he gained weight.” Since Rob isn’t in the public eye like the other Kardashians, this — since it was televised worldwide — was probably embarrassing. Can you blame him for not answering family’s messages? What would you do if your sibling humiliated you on TV like that?

Verbatim, as mentioned by the source, Kim Kardashian expressed the following.

“He covered it with a life-size Barbie doll of Rita that has now turned into a Cabbage Patch. Have you seen it lately? It was a Barbie doll, and he has gained weight, [now] she’s like a huge Cabbage Patch.”

Not only were the Kardashian sisters present, along with the Jenner sisters, but Tyga was there as well. There was no sense of confidentiality. What if the roles were reversed, and Rob Kardashian decided to talk about Kim while on the show? Surely, he knows some “dirty little secrets” about his sister, right?

This all comes after Rob Kardashian was rushed to the hospital in late December 2015. According to Just Jared, he wasn’t feeling well. As it turns out, this is when Mr. Kardashian was diagnosed with the diabetic condition.

Everyone knows that Kim K. is highly sensitive when it comes to her appearance. It’ll be a cold day in hell before you catch her slipping, as far as her image is concerned. So, why would she basically toss Rob under the bus for something she herself feels so insecure about? Maybe that’s why?

However, it’s rumored that Rob Kardashian is planning to do something about his weight. According to E! Online, Kris Jenner says that Rob is doing okay. Rob’s mother mentioned as follows.

“He’s just working on himself a little bit and trying to be a better Rob, so I just have to trust that he’s good. We’re all here to support him for whatever he needs, but he’s doing OK.”

As mentioned, he hasn’t been around family, and that’s made a few siblings upset — specifically, Khloe Kardashian. The same source reports that she asked him, “Where’s your will to live life?” She wants him to be around people, rather than seclude himself as he’s been doing. The Kardashian sister says that it’s “infuriating.” Khloe Kardashian also noted that Rob simply has to “figure himself out.” However, although Rob is choosing to be alone, the Kardashian family says that they are wanting and willing to support him throughout his troubling time.
