ISIS Murdering Babies With Down Syndrome: Report
After mercilessly killing religious minorities, homosexuals, and harming fellow Muslim women, it seems ISIS fighters have found a new group to target. Fighters from terrorist organization ISIS have reportedly started killing babies with Down Syndrome. According to Fox News, ISIS fighters are following a decree issued by a Saudi based ISIS judge who has authorized them to kill babies with Down syndrome. The basis of the reports come from a Facebook post that was shared yesterday on a Facebook page called “Mosul Eye.”
According to the post, following an oral fatwa issued by a Saudi judge, Abu Said Aljazrawi, ISIS militants have started the killing of babies with Down Syndrome. The post goes on to add that apart from babies affected with Down’s Syndrome, children with congenital disabilities are also at risk. They add that since the issuance of the fatwa, more than 38 babies have already been killed by ISIS fighters just because of their disability. Disabled children as young as one week old have been targeted and killed, the post further adds. The children were killed by lethal injection or by simply suffocating them. It is unclear as to where these children have been killed, although it seems most of the incidents have happened in the ISIS strongholds of Raqqa and Mosul.

An excerpt from the post reads as follows.
“The information indicate that most of the children born with Down’s Syndrome are those of foreign fighters who married Iraqi, Syrian and Asian women. We recorded more than 38 confirmed cases of killing babies with congenital deformities and Down’s [sic] Syndrome, aged between one week to three months. They were killed by either lethal injection or suffocation. Some of those killings took place in Syria and Mosul.”
The post is also accompanied by a video which shows a smiling kid with Down Syndrome. The origin of the video is unclear, and so is the identity of the child featured in the clip.
The report of ISIS killing babies with Down Syndrome and congenital disabilities has evoked mixed reactions from people. While everyone agrees on the fact that it is a horrific thing to do, there are several comments on the Facebook post questioning the veracity of the report. One commenter for example says those who believe this story are simply being gullible. Another commenter who is an unequivocal critic of the ISIS says while it is quite possible for ISIS fighters to stoop this low, there is no evidence of such a fatwa or even a clear identity of the Saudi judge who supposedly issued the fatwa. He further adds that he is concerned that the global media has started to pick it up and report the news as fact, in spite of all such reports being unverified and hearsay.
ISIS is known to carry out brutal executions of people who do not believe in their ideology. In the past, they have targeted people belonging to other faiths, most famously the members of the Yazidi tribe and later, Coptic Christians, many of whom were lined up and brutally executed. They have also beheaded several foreigners. Earlier this month, a video emerged that showed ISIS fighters throwing off gay individuals from building tops. The people who were accused of being homosexuals were left dangling headfirst and dropped on to the ground. Several others were simply tossed off the edge. ISIS is also known to use children to execute people. In a recent video, several children are seen playing a deadly game of hide and seek in which they are asked to look for shackled prisoners, mostly captured Syrian soldiers, and shoot them to death at point blank range.
