Photo Of French President Learning Of The Paris Attacks Resembles Photo Of George Bush On 9/11

One team of terrorists armed with suicide bomb vests attempted to enter the Stade de France, where a soccer game was taking place. The terrorists were part of larger assault on Paris that consisted of three teams of terrorists that attacked three different areas of in the city. The Islamic State has claimed they were responsible for the attacks.

Thankfully, the terrorists attempting to enter the Stade de France never made it inside the stadium. According to a CNN report, four people were killed outside the Stade de France: one innocent person and three terrorists. Inside the stadium watching the game was France’s president, Francois Hollande.

The photo of President Hollande learning of the attack is eerily reminiscent of the photo showing former President Bush learning about the 9/11 attacks.

During the 9/11 attacks, former President Bush was in a second grade classroom in Florida when his chief of staff told him the horrifying news.

Across town from the Stade de France, another team of terrorists were opening fire on civilians at restaurants, bars, and cafes. The terrorists were equipped with AK-47 assault rifles and suicide bomb vests. They indiscriminately shot and killed at least 39 people.

The most deadly attack would take place at the Bataclan concert hall, where the American band, Eagles of Death Metal, were playing a show. Three terrorists entered the concert hall and opened fire on the defenseless crowd, killing at least 89 people.

The massacre at the Bataclan concert hall was stopped when police staged a rescue mission and the three attackers died. Two of the attackers died by detonating their bombs, and the third was hit by police gunfire.

All told, the senseless attacks left 129 people dead and 359 wounded, with many of them in critical condition. The attacks proved to be the worst violence in France since WWII.

As the Atlantic reported, the Islamic State released a statement saying that France is, and will remain, at the top of the list of Islamic State targets. The statement also made reference to France’s airstrikes against ISIS and blasphemy against Muhammad. They also warned that there will be more attacks in France, calling the attacks the “first of the storm.”

“Let France and those who walk in its path know that they will remain on the top of the list of targets of the Islamic State, and that the smell of death will never leave their noses as long as they lead the convoy of the Crusader campaign, and dare to curse our Prophet, Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him, and are proud of fighting Islam in France and striking the Muslims in the land of the Caliphate with their planes, which did not help them at all in the streets of Paris and its rotten alleys. This attack is the first of the storm and a warning to those who wish to learn.”

On Saturday, President Hollande said that France would wage a “pitiless” war against the Islamic State in response to the Paris attacks. He also called the attacks an act of war.

“France will not show any pity against the barbaric acts by ISIL. All measures to protect our compatriots and our territory are being taken within the framework of the state of emergency.”

The United States is also expected to amp up its offensive against ISIS in Syria and elsewhere. As the Paris attacks were taking place, the U.S. was simultaneously taking out a top ISIS leader in an airstrike in Libya.
