Miranda Lambert ‘Not Surprised’ By Blake Shelton’s New Romance With Gwen Stefani

While most fans were shocked to hear about the Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani romance, Shelton’s ex, Miranda Lambert, was anything but surprised.

The “Little Red Wagon” singer and Shelton finalized their divorce in July and since then, sources say, Miranda has been taking the time to focus on herself and her career.

“Miranda is at a point in her life where she is really focusing on herself and her music. This is a new chapter for her to create new relationships and really move on,” an insider told E! News. “Miranda has been going through many personal changes over the past few months, but it’s all for the better.”

When the news broke that Blake and Gwen were officially a couple, the insider said Miranda wasn’t surprised, adding that she knew The Voice coaches had always been very flirty with one another. Miranda apparently suspected that this could happen, and just wishes whoever Blake is with the best.

“She was not surprised to hear of the romance between Blake and Gwen. They were always pretty flirty,” the source said. “Miranda and Blake were on the rocks on and off and knew that this could always be a possibility.”

“Blake is just a flirty kind of charmer,” the source continued. “She has nothing against Gwen and thinks she is a very talented artist. Whomever Blake is with she wishes them the best.”

Ironically, Miranda is a fan of No Doubt. In June, she covered their 1995 tune “Spiderwebs” during a surprise performance at Joe’s Bar in Chicago, one month before she and Shelton announced their plans to divorce.

While there has been speculation of a possible romance between the country music superstar and the rocker chick for a while now, the news was just confirmed on Wednesday.

“Gwen and Blake are longtime friends,” Stefani’s spokesperson told Us Weekly on Wednesday, “who have very recently started dating.”

Just a few hours after the relationship news broke, Shelton and Lambert attended the 2015 CMA Awards in Nashville. They reportedly sat a few seats away from each other, and did not cross paths. Miranda stunned in a black Versace dress, and completed her look with her new pink hairstyle.

Another insider reports Lambert was a bit more upset than the other sources said. The other insider said Miranda didn’t understand why Shelton and Stefani had to confirm their relationship on country music’s best night of the year, especially when Miranda was up for the biggest award of the night as Entertainer of the Year.

“[Miranda Lambert] won one of the best awards of the night and she couldn’t even enjoy it,” the source told Hollywood Life. “She was just holding back tears the whole time… [Miranda Lambert] doesn’t understand why they had to make things official that night, it should have been her biggest night but all she could think about was Blake being with Gwen.”

Following the Country Music Awards, Lambert posted an emotional message to her fans on Instagram, along with a picture of her hugging a black and white horse.

“Horse Power….. I’m still floating around on a cloud from last night. Thank you so much @cma for celebrating country music in a big way and for letting me be part of it. Today was a day spent reflecting on this amazing life that Nashville and country music fans have given me. And my friends.
