Lamar Odom Orders Khloe Kardashian To Exit After She Allegedly Uses Him For Fame: Is His Drug Abuse Hurting Khloe?
Lamar Odom has spent weeks in hospital rooms after being found unconscious in a brothel from an alleged drug overdose. Through it all, Khloe Kardashian has stayed by his side, even canceling the almost-completed divorce for which she filed several years ago. With only minimal time to relax, such as a short trip to cheer on boyfriend James Harden and a birthday party for one of her sisters, Khloe has been faithful, causing some to question whether Kardashian would reunite with Lamar to the point of remarrying him some day.
But now new reports raise questions about the extent to which Odom remains addicted to drugs, as well as whether Lamar has become so angry that he actually ordered Khloe, 31, to leave his hospital room. Given that Kardashian reportedly cited his drug addiction as the main reason she was filing for divorce, can Khloe get him to rehab? And if Odom, 35, believes those who say she’s exploiting him for fame, can he forgive and forget? It depends on which report you believe.
An insider of Lamar’s family told Us Weekly that Khloe had blocked Odom’s children from visiting their famous father. However, Kardashian supposedly was the one who shelled out the money so that family members could fly to be with Lamar.
And it’s not just that conundrum that’s causing controversy about whether Odom and Kardashian can ever reconcile permanently. Reports also are swirling that Khloe is exploiting the situation, including the drug overdose, to boost her fame and fortune.
“Lamar said he needed space and wanted to be alone,” said one insider. “He told her to get out.”
Not so, said a different source. Kardashian not only cancelled the divorce and paid for medical expenses, Khloe stayed so supportive of Odom’s recovery that she put off the tour for her new book, Strong Looks Better Naked.
Kardashian left only to reunite with James Harden, her boyfriend, for a brief trip and to have sister time, but came back to Lamar to ensure he is “stabilized,” said an insider.
Now a cousin of Lamar’s is getting her 15 minutes of fame by alleging that Kardashian forced her to ink a non-disclosure form, reported the Mirror.
Sherae Clark-Williams also says that Odom’s children, Lamar Jr. and Destiny, were the ones who first watched Odom open up his eyes after fears that he would never regain consciousness, contrary to reports that it was Khloe.
All of this raises the question of whether some Odom family members are trying to incite Lamar to boot Khloe? They informed Lamar that Kardashian dropped clues to paparazzi so the photographers could get shots of family members at the hospital, according to OK magazine.
Odom supposedly feels “betrayed” and exploited, believing that Khloe used his fight for life to promote herself.
But amid all those disagreements about the state of Lamar’s and Khloe’s relationship now, following his brush with death, Kardashian herself is revealing new details of their troubled marriage in her just released book, reported Radar Online.
Khloe and Odom even tried couples counseling to resolve their marital differences. But the combination of Kardashian’s awareness that Lamar was abusing drugs as well as being unfaithful was too much.
“[Odom’s drug abuse and infidelity were] both painful and mortifying,” confesses Khloe.
With that knowledge of the dark past, Kardashian was horrified when she recently learned that Lamar had summoned his drug dealer to his hospital bedside even as he fought to recover from a reported drug overdose, as the Inquisitr pointed out.
“It became clear to Khloe very quickly after Lamar woke up, and the days went on, that he wasn’t going to be changing any time soon. Calling his drug dealer to the hospital was the final straw,” revealed an insider.
Kardashian reportedly has been trying to persuade Odom to go to rehab for drug addiction when he’s well enough to leave the hospital, but it remains a battleground.
And now Khloe has even more reason for concern because Odom is seeking stronger pain medication that includes Oxycontin, reported Life & Style.
“Lamar was moved out of ICU earlier this week because of the progress that has been made…There are concerns because Lamar has been asking for copious amounts of pain medication, including OxyContin,” said an insider.
For his physicians, the awareness that Lamar is in pain must be weighed with the knowledge that Odom has a drug addiction past, added the source.
“It’s a dilemma for the doctors because the pain has to be treated… with Lamar’s history of substance abuse, they are trying to give him other pain medications that aren’t as powerful. However, Lamar complains that it’s not strong enough.”
