Lamar Odom Update: Lamar’s Dad, Joe Odom, Says Khloe Kardashian Keeping Him Away From Odom [Video]

Lamar Odom’s dad has a bone to pick with the Kardashian Family, specifically Khloe. In a new video seen below by TMZ, Joe Odom vents his frustration at not being able to see Lamar, despite information that Joe says he was provided that should’ve gained Joe access to see Lamar. Odom couldn’t provide an update about Lamar’s health, because he hasn’t been allowed to see his own son, Joe claims.

The elder Odom vented his frustration with the TMZ cameraman, as reported by TMZ, with Joe saying that not being able to visit Lamar and get Odom’s health updates directly was making him very angry.

“I’m upset because they won’t let me see my son. This is the second time.”

Joe called it “sabotage” that he hasn’t been able to get in the hospital at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Odom said that his attempt on Wednesday, October 28, during the evening hours to see Lamar was his second attempt to try and see the younger Odom. Instead of getting in to see Lamar, Joe was left “highly upset” over what he felt was an intentional means of blocking him out of the hospital.

On Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Joe was featured in plenty of storylines, with Khloe often encouraging Lamar to get back together with his dad, a man whom Lamar often spoke of as troubled. Joe was often seen going out to dinner with Lamar and Khloe, with the older Odom sometimes asking Lamar for money. Joe’s own struggles with drugs have been at the center of controversy, and how much of a factor that played in Joe’s absence from Lamar’s life. There were debates over how much Odom should be involved in Lamar’s life.

Joe spoke of his first attempt to see Lamar.

“Mr. Granger, Danny Granger’s father brought me down here the other night. Like I’m a villain or something. They say I’m not on the visitor’s list.”

Boulevard Management said he was on the visiting list, however, claims Joe. But Odom says that the Kardashian family shut it down when they are allowing others to see Lamar who aren’t blood relatives.

“They let other people see my son that’s not even related to him. Khloe Kardashian.”

Joe reported that he didn’t know if Khloe was mad at him or not, but Odom specifically named Khloe by name as the one keeping him away from Lamar. Odom reports that he was able to see Lamar when Odom was in Las Vegas, so he’s not sure what changed.

“When I was in Vegas I saw my son every other day — every day I seen [sic] him. I tried reaching out to everybody. I can’t really say anything because I haven’t seen him in four days. They won’t let me come within 10 feet of him.”

The Kardashians are holding him back from seeing his son, claims Joe, whose frustration was clearly witnessed in the video. Perhaps it was because of Joe’s claims that he hung out with Lamar in Las Vegas prior to Lamar getting sick is the reasoning behind keeping him away. Khloe could feel that Joe is a bad influence — or it could be Lamar himself that wants a break from his own dad, and hasn’t yet verbalized that fact to Joe.

Those commenting on the video of Odom have their own rationale behind why Joe might be kept from seeing Lamar.

“The fact that they were hanging out in Vegas as Lamar was circling the drain says it all.”

“Maybe they feel it hurt his recovery, but let [Odom’s visit] be supervised, have a heart, and let him visit.”
