Lamar Odom’s Children Are ‘Eternally Grateful’ For Khloe Kardashian’s Dedication To Their Dad

Lamar Odom’s children, 17-year-old Destiny and 13-year-old Lamar Jr., are reportedly extremely grateful for all Khloe Kardashian has done for their father.

On October 13, after learning Odom had been found unconscious at the Love Ranch South in Pahrump, Nevada, Kardashian immediately boarded a private jet with mother Kris Jenner and sister Kim Kardashian, and flew to be by his side. The following day, Kardashian reportedly arranged for Lamar Odom’s children, as well as their mother, Liza Morales, and his aunt, JaNean Mercer, to fly to Las Vegas, too.

For several days following his hospitalization, Lamar Odom’s children remained at his side with Kardashian before ultimately traveling home to New York to return to school.

Since then, Lamar Odom’s children have continued to pray for their father, who is currently receiving care at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in West Hollywood, California.

On October 25, a source revealed the following to Hollywood Life.

“[Lamar Odom’s children] are really grateful for everything Khloe has done for their father so far. They’re aware that without Khloe, things might not have worked out as well for their father as they have, and they will always remember that and be eternally grateful.”

Lamar Odom’s children were close with Kardashian during the time she and Odom were together, and likely, they kept in touch in the years that followed.

“Khloe made sure [Lamar Odom’s children] were by their father’s side when he needed them most, and she has been the glue that’s kept everyone together,” the source continued. “She’s been insanely tough throughout all of this, and even though there’s still a long way to go, both Lamar Jr. and Destiny are confident that with Khloe in their father’s corner he will continue to have great support in his bid for recovery.”

Lamar Odom’s children’s mother, Morales, dated the former professional athlete for several years before eventually calling it quits. The couple also welcomed three children together, but sadly, their youngest son died from SIDS at just 6-months-old.

As Lamar Odom’s children keep their father in their prayers from the east coast, he has continued to stay positive about his recovery.

“One thing that is important for Lamar, and something he’s really concentrating on, is not letting any negative thoughts affect his recovery,” a source told Hollywood Life last week.

According to the report, Odom has stayed “very positive” throughout his issues, despite being quite limited when it comes to his physical capabilities. As an athlete, many would assume Odom would be extremely distraught at not being able to move around freely, but luckily, with Kardashian at his side, he is staying focused on his ongoing progression, rather than what he is unable to do.

“Lamar is aware that he’s been given a second chance, and is thankful to God for giving him the opportunity to right his wrongs,” the source explained. “Khloe has been highly encouraged by his motivation to overcome the hurdle of knowing he has a long battle of rehabilitation ahead. He’s determined to get better for himself, for Khloe and for everyone else who has shown him love and support.”

Last week, Odom and Kardashian put a stop to their ongoing divorce proceedings, opting to instead give their marriage another chance.

No word yet on whether Lamar Odom’s children will eventually return to the west coast and visit their father at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
