Tamra Barney Accuses ‘Real Housewives’ Co-Star Vicki Gunvalson Of Being A ‘Backstabber’ And ‘Bad Friend’

Tamra Barney has just shared her latest blog with fans. Following the finale episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Tamra Barney took to her Bravo blog on October 14, where she shared her thoughts on the episode’s events, as well as her former friendship with Vicki Gunvalson.

In the years since Tamra Barney joined the cast of The Real Housewives of Orange County, she and Gunvalson have had an on-and-off friendship. At times, the two women were thick as thieves, but at other times, they were at war. Either way, Tamra Barney now claims that all the while, Gunvalson has been making her out to look like the bad guy for not trusting her now-ex-boyfriend, Brooks Ayers. According to Tamra Barney, Gunvalson warned every new cast member who joined the show of Barney, allegedly claiming she was a “backstabber and a bad friend.”

“In the past if I knew you were lying or a fake I would expose you like a bad pair of shoes. Now a days I have learned that the truth always comes out and it’s not my job to prove it.”

“As far as I am concerned I am not the backstabber or the bad friend Vicki, YOU ARE!” Tamra Barney continued.

Tamra Barney claims that while new cast members would always ask her why she wasn’t a fan of Ayers, she never revealed her true feelings. Instead, she simply said that she felt there was someone better suited. Tamra Barney then continued on to readers, suggesting Gunvalson was “covering for a man that is lying about something as serious as cancer.”

Tamra Barney explains that while many of Ayers’ inconsistencies aired on The Real Housewives of Orange County, there were plenty other issues fans didn’t see. She also teased of the possibility of a major reveal during the upcoming three-part reunion for season 10.

“Does that mean Vicki knew Brooks was lying about having cancer before we even started filming? Are they both in on it? You will have to wait until the three-part reunion for those answers.”

During Monday night’s Real Housewives of Orange County finale, Gunvalson surprised her co-stars and many fans when she suggested her daughter was a “sh– stirrer” for a lie her mother had told regarding Ayers. Looking back on the shocking moment, Tamra Barney claimed Gunvalson’s comment was “the worst part,” and accused her of tossing her own daughter “under the bus.”

Tamra Barney met with Briana Culberson during a previous episode to discuss Ayers, and during their chat, Tamra Barney discovered Gunvalson hadn’t been completely honest about her late mother’s thoughts on her former relationship with Ayers. According to Gunvalson, her late mother, Joanne Steinmetz, was supportive of her decision to date Ayers, but according to her daughter, Culberson, her mother wasn’t a fan of Ayers.

Tamra Barney went on to speak of her current relationship with Gunvalson, explaining that after hearing her tell Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live that no one has been there for her throughout the season, she realized that she needed to cut ties — and for good.

“I have decided to cut Vicki from my life. I just can’t do this anymore, it’s emotionally exhausting and I don’t trust her,” Tamra Barney stated.
