Boy Arrested For Carjacking On The Way To Prom, Date Complains To Cops


A carjacking suspect was arrested in Chicago this past weekend when the victim recognized his car and a tuxedo wearing gentleman pulling through a McDonald’s drive-thru, according to Chicago police.

20 year old Lorenzo Bracey was dressed up and ready for prom, sporting a sleek white shirt with a silver grayish tuxedo and vest when the arrest happened.

Harrison District police Lt. John Andrews stated that “when questioned about his clothing he made reference to going to a prom that evening”.

Bracey is accused is holding a man at gunpoint that same day and stealing his maroon 1997 Ford Expedition, fleeing the scene with the SUV and other valuables inside the car.

As soon as the victim recognized his car going into the drive-thru with the golden arches, he immediately notified the police.

The 20 year old that currently attends Malcolm X College is being charged with a hefty load of crimes that include aggravated vehicular hijacking, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of a firearm with a defaced serial number, all of which are felonies.

In addition to those felonies, Bracey is also being charged with three misdemeanors that include possession of firearm ammunition without a valid FOID card, possession of a firearm without a valid FOID card, and possession of cannabis.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Bracey’s distraught girlfriend contacted the police later that night complaining that “her prom was ruined” thanks to them.

Lorenzo Bracey’s bail has been set at $150,000 by a judge for his pre-prom activities.
