NFL Picks Week 2: Patriots, Cowboys, Seahawks Picked To Lose
NFL picks for Week 2 don’t favor the league powerhouses. In fact, the Week 2 NFL picks from CBS Sports have five teams projected to make the postseason coming out on the losing end. The report was released on Tuesday, September 15, and it is packed with upset picks. These predictions are certainly good for fans of the underdog teams as well as supporters of the Green Bay Packers.
The most notable prediction for Week 2 might be that the Seattle Seahawks are picked to start the season 0-2. Aaron Rodgers and the Packers will host the Seahawks in the Sunday night game (September 20) with the intent to stop a three-year losing streak. There is a reason that this battle between Rodgers and Russell Wilson is on primetime for NBC. Seahawks fans just have to hope Wilson doesn’t go to Twitter with another prediction.
In the other top games on the schedule, the Week 2 NFL picks project some interesting results. CBS Sports picks the Philadelphia Eagles to beat the Dallas Cowboys, the Kansas City Chiefs to beat the Denver Broncos, the Cincinnati Bengals to beat the San Diego Chargers, and the Buffalo Bills to beat the New England Patriots. If the Bills win again in Week 2, the team could sit alone in first place for the AFC East at 2-0. That would certainly be a quick turnaround for Bills head coach Rex Ryan.
Another intriguing game in Week 2 is the Tennessee Titans vs. Cleveland Browns. The prediction here is that Marcus Mariota leads the Titans to another win, pushing the team to 2-0 atop the AFC South. Meanwhile, Jameis Winston’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers are picked to lose again, this time to the New Orleans Saints. Other teams that selected early in the 2015 NFL Draft are also picked to lose, with the Miami Dolphins beating the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Baltimore Ravens beating the Oakland Raiders, and the Indianapolis Colts beating the New York Jets.
As for the rest of the games, the Houston Texans, Pittsburgh Steelers, Detroit Lions, Chicago Bears, New York Giants, and St. Louis Rams are also picked to win. If the Rams beat the Washington Redskins and the Steelers beat the San Francisco 49ers, the Rams will be the only 2-0 team in the NFC West. It would certainly be an interesting start to the season if the Week 2 NFL picks correctly predict the Rams, Buffalo Bills, and Tennessee Titans to all be undefeated and in first place.
