‘Destiny’ Weekly Reset For September 9 With Bonus 2.0 Reset

Destiny players on PlayStation and Xbox will remember September 9, 2015, as the one that brought the 2.0 update and a massive list of changes. A Weekly Reset happens first, though, with a new set of Strikes and activities. The actual update will arrive around noon ET or afterwards.

The Destiny 2.0 update will bring some changes with it to the weekly activities. Most notably, the Weekly Heroic Strike may be replaced, the Nightfall boost may disappear, and a new Crucible Preview Event will go live for players to try out the new maps and modes from The Taken King . This article will be updated with the new information when the 2.0 update goes live.

As always, this rotation of Destiny activities will last through the following Tuesday at approximately 5 a.m. ET / 2 a.m. PT. A new set of activities will launch then.

Nightfall — The Summoning Pits

Ocean of Storms, Moon: The Hive gather the Darkness around them as they raise abominations from their pits within the Moon.

Modifiers

  • Epic — Heavily shielded and highly aggressive enemies appear in great numbers.
  • Nightfall — If all players die, your Fireteam is returned to Orbit.
  • Juggler — No ammo drops for your equipped weapon.
  • Void Burn — Void Damage from any source is greatly increased.
  • Solar Burn — Solar Damage from any source is greatly increased.

Rewards

  • Radiant Light Buff — Increases all XP gains untill the weekly refresh. (Will change with 2.0 Update)
  • Reputation x 500

  • Exotic Weapons
  • Exotic Armor
  • Legendary Weapons
  • Strange Coins

Heroic Strike — The Will of Crota

Old Russia, Earth Omnigul, the mastermind of Crota’s armies, nests in the Cosmodrome. Eliminate this horror and purge its spawn. (Will change with 2.0 update)

Modifiers

  • Heroic — Enemies appear in greater numbers and are more aggressive.
  • Juggler — No ammo drops for your equipped weapon.

  • Strange Coin x 9
  • Vanguard Marks x 10
  • Vanguard Reputation x 400

Prison of Elders Level 32 — Urrox’s Grudge ( Guide )

Valus Trau’ug seeks to prove his might by crushing all who challenge him.

Round Enemy Objective Modifier(s)
1 Hive None Trickle – Recharge of abilities is significantly reduced.
2 Cabal Dismantle Mines Small Arms – Primary Weapon damage is favored.
3 Cabal Eliminate Target Exposure – Guardian shields are increased but do not replenish.
4 Hive Dismantle Mines Arc Burn – Arc Damage from any source is greatly increased.
5 Hive/ Urrox Boss Fight Solar Burn – Solar Damage from any source is greatly increased.

Prison of Elders Level 34 — The Forever Eater

The Reef, Asteroid Belt Qodron, a Vex chronovore, sees only one outcome: your demise. Prove it wrong.

1 Vex Mini-Boss Fight Catapult – Grenade recharge rate is greatly increased.
2 Vex Dismantle Mines Void Burn – Void Damage from any source is greatly increased.
3 Fallen Mini-Boss Fight Brawler – Guardian Melee damage is greatly increased.
4 Vex Eliminate the Target Small Arms – Primary Weapon damage is favored.
5 Vex / Qodron Boss Fight Trickle – Recharge of abilities is significantly reduced.

Prison of Elders Level 35 — Skolas’ Revenge ( Guide )

Skolas and his crew challenge the Guardians who captured him. Face him with a Fireteam of three. End him.

Round Enemy Objective Modifier(s)
1 Hive None Exposure – Guardian shields are increased but do not replenish. Brawler – Guardian Melee damage is greatly increased.
2 Vex Destroy Mines Grounded – Players take more damage while airborne. Airborne – Players deal more damage while in the air.
3 Cabal Dismantle Mines Catapult – Grenade recharge rate is greatly increased. Arc Burn – Arc Damage from any source is greatly increased.
4 Fallen Eliminate Target Specialist – Special Weapon damage is favored. Juggler – No ammo drops for your equipped weapon.
5 Fallen Mini-Boss Trickle – Recharge of abilities is significantly reduced. Small Arms – Primary Weapon damage is favored.
6 Fallen / Skolas Boss Fight Brawler – Guardian Melee damage is greatly increased. Juggler – No ammo drops for your equipped weapon.
