Eazy-E Murdered? Rapper’s Son Furthers Theory That Suge Knight Injected His Father With AIDS

Was Eazy-E murdered by Suge Knight?

The late N.W.A. rapper, who died in 1995 from complications of AIDS, is the center of a new conspiracy theory after a strange interview surfaced in which Knight was apparently joking about Eazy-E’s death. Though the interview is years old, it has resurfaced thanks to the popularity of the N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton and from a family member close to Eazy-E.

The conspiracy theory is arising from an interview Suge Knight did with Jimmy Kimmel back in 2003 in which he appeared to joke about killing someone with an injection of AIDS.

“This the new thing, right? So, if somebody gonna do something to somebody, technology is so high, right? So, you shoot somebody, you go to jail forever,” Knight said. “Kids, you don’t want to go to jail forever, right? So, they got this new thing out, people sell ’em all the time. They get this stuff they call — they get blood from somebody with AIDS — and then they shoot you with it. That’s the slow death.”

The interview sparked speculation that Eazy-E may have been murdered by Suge Knight, who allegedly confronted Eazy-E in the early 1990s to get the rapper to release Dr. Dre from Ruthless Records so he might sign with Knight’s Death Row label.

That theory was pushed even further by the late rapper’s son, Eric Wright Jr., who recently posted a message on Instagram saying he now believes Suge Knight is responsible for his father’s death.

I’ve been known my pops was killed. His death never added up 2 what ppl have always said maybe they think we’re idiots blind to the truth idk….but 4 u new fans, youngsters & ppl who just don’t know much notice in #StraightOuttaCompton Eazy did not get sick until after the studio incident with suge and look how he acknowledged & admits on this interview with #JimmyKimmel injecting ppl instead of shooting them is a new thing that’s done. ? the truth is out there its just blinded by the fact that Eric had alot of sex

There are still many questions regarding the circumstances of Easy-E’s death. In his memoir, Ruthless Records co-founder Jerry Heller suggests the rapper may not have had AIDS at all. He notes the notoriously promiscuous Eazy-E somehow didn’t infect the mothers of his 11 children.

“None of the mothers were HIV-positive. None of the children were HIV-positive,” Heller said. “So, he went there, he got a complete physical, he got 100 percent clearance. Then when he started getting sick, sometime after his trip to New York, end of ’94, beginning of ’95, he went to the hospital and he went to Cedars [-Sinai]. They brought in doctors from Norwalk Hospital to treat him. Now, why would anyone bring in doctors from Norwalk to Cedars to treat somebody? … Cedars is certainly one of the top hospitals in the world, and have the finest doctors. That’s always been suspect to me.”

There are others who say the theory that Suge Knight killed Eazy-E with an injection of AIDS is far-fetched. The Washington Post consulted AIDS experts who said the rapper’s symptoms and progression of the disease show that he was likely infected in the mid 1980s, long before his alleged confrontation with Knight.
