‘Dancing With The Stars’ Enlists A Backstreet Boy To Join Celebrity Cast
For the third day in a row, a Dancing with the Stars contestant has been revealed by various sources. This time the announcement was made by Us Weekly on Wednesday, and they had all of the details. They have just reported that Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys has finally given in to compete for the mirror-ball trophy on Season 21.
The boy band member had resisted the invites to show off his moves on the ABC dancing competition for a while now. However, after much urging from Joey Fatone of ‘N Sync, Carter decided to give it a go. He has signed on, and now boy band fans everywhere will see what this guy can do on the ballroom floor. If you remember, Fatone was one of the stars who competed on two seasons of Dancing with the Stars, so he is able to give Nick some valuable pointers. The ‘N Sync member had nothing but good things to say to Carter about dancing on the show.
“It’s a great experience, it keeps you in shape, and it’ll teach you a lot of stuff.”
If you are a fan of the Backstreet Boys, you have seen just what kind of dancing skills Nick Carter has on stage when he sings with his band. But just like the other experienced dancers that have gone on Dancing with the Stars, the whole ballroom style of dance is totally out of his element. In fact, he says that he is looking forward to getting taught some new and improved moves.
“I never considered myself a great dancer. Even though funny enough I’ve danced my entire life, I might have had a little insecurity on that end. I hope maybe I can become a better dancer! It’ll be a great experience to learn how to ballroom dance.”

Carter joins Australian wildlife enthusiast Bindi Irwin and Triple Crown winner Victor Espinoza in the growing list of stars, as previously reported by Hollywood Life. Who will be the Backstreet Boys’ pro partner? That remains to be seen, but there is a good chance that he may get to dance with Karina Smirnoff, who also happens to be little brother Aaron Carter’s former partner on Season 9. The couple made it to fifth place.
Dancing with the Stars will have its celebrity list completed on September 2. They are scheduled to make the official introductions and to reveal with whom the stars will be paired up.
Do you think that Nick Carter has a good chance of winning that mirror-ball trophy?
