Anna Faris: Cheating Rumors About Husband Chris Pratt Are ‘Stinging’ And, Of Course, Not True

Anna Faris insists that rumors that her husband, Chris Pratt, is cheating on her or is thinking about cheating on her are bogus and “weirdly stinging,” Us Magazine is reporting.

The cheating rumors began thanks to a July article in Star Magazine. Citing “unnamed sources close to the couple,” the celebrity gossip tabloid alleged that Anna was concerned that Chris may be tempted to cheat with co-star Jennifer Lawrence while he’s away filming Passengers and she’s working on her CBS sitcom, Mom.

This came as news to Anna, who says her marriage to Chris is great and that she never suspected him of cheating, or being tempted to cheat.

“I had always kind of believed that part of the rumors of celebrity couples were sort of true because they had never been part of my life. I was like, ‘Oh, maybe there’s a kernel of truth to that.’ It’s been a little devastating because for us, it’s like, ‘What the heck?’ This has been blindsiding to us. We have an incredible relationship. It has been weirdly stinging.”

Anna Faris’ first marriage, to actor Ben Indra, lasted from 2004 to 2009, when the couple broke up citing “irreconcilable differences,” according to E! Online. Anna met Chris Pratt in 2008 on the set of Take Me Home Tonight, and married in 2009; they have a three-year-old son, Jack.

In a June interview with Entertainment Tonight, Chris Pratt spoke about how hard he works at making sure that his marriage to Anna stays strong.

“These are the work years. The gravy years are to come. The way we work it out is we just take at least one moment every day to be present with one another. Whether or not we’re in the same room, or the same state, or even the same country, we check in, you know?”

Anna, for her part, spoke about how she hopes her career trajectory and her husband’s will some day become one and the same, and the two will be able to work together rather than apart, according to Fox News.

“I want to do all kinds of things and my husband and I are working toward that goal. We are really hoping to act together in the right project. We are still trying to figure out what that is. But from the day we met, we have been fantasizing about it.”
