Friends Left Out: Matt Le Blanc And Matthew Perry Didn’t Make The Guest List At Jennifer And Justin’s Wedding
While Friends co-stars Lisa Kudrow and Courteney Cox were present at Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux’s surprise wedding, there were a few friends that were left out.
Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry apparently didn’t make the guest list, and David Schwimmer, who played Jennifer Aniston’s love interest, Ross, in Friends, was not there to witness the union as well.
Although the men of Friends were the friends left out at the wedding, there’s no bitterness here. LeBlanc and Perry talked to People magazine and had good things to say about the newlyweds, though they say they didn’t receive an invite.
Perry said that he’s happy Jennifer and Justin was able to pull off the wedding in secret.
“It was a surprise to me as well. They’re a lovely couple, and I’m happy for them.”
LeBlanc, on the other hand, had more to say. He says that he has missed Jennifer’s wedding for the second time. However, he was invited to her first wedding with Brad Pitt. His schedule just didn’t allow him to attend.
“I missed when she married Brad. I was in Austria working. She called me, and she was like, ‘You’re really not coming to my wedding?’ And I was like, ‘I asked them if they could change the schedule. I would fly and clap and fly out.’ And they said, ‘We can’t do it. It’s too tight.'”
Matt LeBlanc was referring to a project he was working on in Austria at the time of Jennifer’s wedding to Brad Pitt.
According to USA Today, LeBlanc is happy that at least the Friends girls were there.
“I wasn’t there, so I wish her the best… The girls were there. You’ve got to have the girls there.”
It doesn’t matter that LeBlanc and Perry are now being called the “friends left out,” as he says he has a special family-like bond with his Friends co-stars, referring to Jennifer Aniston as a little sister. Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow are like his big sisters, Matthew is like a little brother to him, and David, he says, is like his older brother.
“That’s how it all broke down. And it’s literally just like chronological.”
Despite being left out of the wedding, Matt says that he’s happy for Jennifer.
“I think they’re a great couple. I think she’s happy. And that’s all I care about is that Jen’s happy. If she wanted me there, I would have been there.”
