Watch Manchester City Vs. West Brom Live Online: Raheem Sterling Car Crash Scandal Clouds Debut
Watch Manchester City live online as the Sky Blues travel to the Hawthorns to face West Bromwich Albion Monday in a match that features the debut of City’s prize summer acquisition, 20-year-old former Liverpool starlet Raheem Sterling — pried from Anfield over the summer for a staggering £49 million — $76 million — transfer fee.
But the talented but controversial Sterling enters his first match for his new club already at the center of a bizarre scandal, after his Mercedes automobile valued at almost $200,000 was found abandoned and crashed in London — allegedly with two bottles of the drug nitrous oxide, better known as “laughing gas,” in the vehicle.

Manchester City Manager Manuel Pellegrini certainly does not need another distraction going into his team’s 2015-2016 season opener. Not only does the third-year manager, who won a Premier League championship in his own debut season at the Etihad, face constant questions about his own future with the seemingly ceaseless rumors that his bosses are pursuing current Bayern Munich and former Barcelona Manager Pep Guardiola — Pellegrini now must deal with the Sterling issue.
While the 20-year-old (pictured above) may have already felt under pressure to justify his pricey move from Liverpool, the discovery of his wrecked sportscar just before his debut with his new team is likely become another mental obstacle for Sterling to overcome.
Sterling’s agent, Aidy Ward, insisted that the player was not in the car when it crashed — which may have been days ago, according to sources quoted in the British press — and that he merely loaned the $200,000 vehicle to a friend.
In matters more related to on-the-pitch activity, City may be without four of its South American stars, including striker Sergio Aguero, who has scored 78 goals since joining Manchester City in 2011, after the quartet were allowed only a restricted training period following the Copa America competition.
