Dannielynn Birkhead, Anna Nicole Smith’s Daughter, Wears Flower Hat At Kentucky Derby

Dannielynn Birkhead, the late Anna Nicole Smith’s five-year-old daughter, took in the Kentucky Derby this weekend with her father Larry.

Birkhead was all smiles, wearing a hat full of flowers and a floral dress, as her father walked her around Churchill Downs.

Dannielynn has had an unusual childhood. Her mother Anna Nicole Smith passed away when she was just five months old and her big brother Daniel passed away just a few days after her birth. Radar Online also notes that Dannielynn was also at the center of an intense paternity battle.

But despite the trauma, the little girl looks perfectly happy.

Her father Larry has done his best to keep her out of the spotlight but he did like Dannielynn answer a few friendly questions before the Derby. When asked which horse she thought was going to win the Kentucky Derby, the little girl said “the red horse.” Unfortunately, I’ll Have Another won the race wearing a yellow number and a purple and white jockey.

The Hollywood Life reports that Dannielynn was attending her first Derby, but her parents Larry and Anna Nicole Smith were both regulars at Churchill Downs. In fact, Larry, a native of Kentucky, met Smith for the first time at the Derby in 2004.
