Carrie Underwood Posts No Makeup Selfie, See The Pic
Carrie Underwood’s no makeup selfie proves that she is still beautiful as ever, even when she is a “sweaty mess.”
The “Little Toy Guns” singer shared a photo on Instagram on Friday, August 7, showing her makeup-free with her and her husband’s dog, a dachshund mix named Penny, licking her face after an intense workout.
“Cloudy but no rain = perfect day to run outside!” Underwood captioned the photo, which showed her smiling while squinting at the camera. “1mi treadmill warm up, tabata arms and abs, finish up with a 3 mile run/lunge up the hills. I’m a sweaty mess, but fortunately I have sweet Penny to help get me cleaned up! Ew. #StayThePath #CALIAbyCarrie #NoMakeup #NoFilter #BeNice.”
Underwood, who has her own line of Calia fitness clothing, has been working out as much as possible to get back in shape following the birth of her son Isaiah, who was born earlier this year in February.
Carrie previously told E! News that she “did everything I could to try and make smart choices” while she was expecting, and when she couldn’t actually “work out,” she would simply walk or find something else to do to stay active.
Because Carrie had to have a cesarean with baby Isaiah, she wasn’t immediately able to get back into her exercise routine as soon as she would have hoped. To maintain her healthy lifestyle, minus the exercise, the American Idol alum said she “kind of alter(ed) my diet.”
In other Carrie Underwood news, it was recently announced that she, and her fellow country music superstar Brad Paisley, will be hosting this year’s CMA Awards, making this the eighth year for the duo. The announcement was made during ABC’s CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock special, where they showcased highlights of the pair hosting the previous CMA Awards.

Underwood has won five Country Music Association Awards since she took the title of American Idol. Her awards include: Female Vocalist of the Year (in 2006, 2007 and 2008), Single of the Year (in 2007 for “Before He Cheats) and the Horizon Award (in 2006). The 2015 CMA Awards will air in Nashville on November 4 at 8:00 p.m. on ABC. The nominees and performers will be announced at a later date.
