Is there be an awkward reunion ahead between Twilight alums Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson ? The two are both planning on attending the upcoming Venice International Film Festival, which means that there is a strong possibility the two might see each other for the first time in quite a while.
According to Hollywood Life , both Stewart and Pattinson will be at the festival in order to promote their new movies which are competing in the festival. However, the films are in completely different categories and, given the fact that the festival runs over the course of ten days, it is possible that they won’t even see each other at all.
Stewart will be attending to promote her upcoming movie, Equals . The film was directed by Drake Doremus and is set to compete in the Venezia 72 category, in which it will go up against other international movies.
For his part, Pattinson will be at the festival for his new movie, Childhood Of A Leader . The film, directed by Brady Corbet, will be included in the Orizzonti category, which represents the most recent trends in international films.
Although the two haven’t been seen together in a long time, a meeting at the Venice International Film Festival might turn out to be quite normal. Both stars have moved on with their lives since their breakup, with Pattinson now engaged to British singer FKA Twigs , and Stewart in a relationship with Alicia Cargile.
However, the fact that Stewart decided to attend the second week of Coachella and skipping out on the Met Gala makes it appear as though she’s been avoiding Pattinson and Twigs, who were at both events. However, in order to clear the air, an inside source recently told Hollywood Life that Stewart hasn’t been intentionally avoiding her ex.
“Kristen would have attended the Met Ball if she didn’t already have another commitment… Rob going with Tahliah (FKA twigs) would not have stopped her at all. She’s made peace with the past and has moved on.”
Speaking of moving on, Stewart’s new relationship with Cargile was recently confirmed by her mother, Jules Stewart, in an interview with the Sunday Mirror .
“What’s not to be accepting about her now having a girlfriend? She’s happy… I’ve met Kristen’s new girlfriend, I like her. What’s not to accept? She’s a lovely girl.”
