Rihanna Hits The Studio As Fans Beg For New Album Release, Rumored ‘R8’ Tracks Leak Online
Rihanna may have excited fans when she dropped the music video for her hit single “B*tch Better Have My Money” last week. However, the Rihanna Navy is still hungry for new music.
While Rihanna has teased a few of her new tracks in the past, such as providing a snippet of her song “Only If For A Night” for Dior’s Secret Garden IV campaign, fans are begging the songstress to keep them updated on news regarding the release of her eighth studio album, tentatively titled R8.
Even The X Factor judge and pop singer Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is demanding new material from Rihanna, telling Rih that she had better hurry up with the release of R8.
“Erm…Ok missy I see you looking incredible in your Dior campaign and all your pretty pictures. But B***h better have my album??”
While news regarding Rihanna’s latest album is essentially nonexistent at this point, Rihanna was spotted hitting the studio for a late-night jam session in New York City early Wednesday morning. The studio appearance instantly excited fans who are eager for Rihanna to release follow-up material to “BBHMM.”
Rihanna, who recently revealed her position as Puma’s newest brand ambassador, opted for a sports-luxe look as she donned bright green tracksuit bottoms and white trainers while making her way to the studio to work with producer Timbaland. Rihanna completed her super casual look with a grey t-shirt and “Brooklyn” baseball cap, Daily Mail reports.
As previously reported by Inquisitr, Rihanna has allegedly scrapped her previous work on R8 in favor of pursuing a new sound for her eighth studio album. Rihanna is reportedly in talks with several dancehall artists to help her achieve a new sound that is more reflective of her Barbadian roots, such as her previous tracks “Man Down” and “Pon De Replay.”
As Rihanna works hard on new music, reports also suggest that rumored R8 tracks are already leaking on the Internet.
International Business Times reports that several short audio clips of rumored R8 tracks have appeared on the social media site, with several songs being teased by music producer Mitus, who has been working alongside Rihanna to put the finishing touches on her album.

Buzzfeed also reports that the 20-year-old producer has worked alongside Rihanna to create her “Only If For A Night” track that appears in her campaign ads for Dior.
While the videos only run for a few seconds, it has certainly piqued the interest of fans who are eager for an album release amid reports that suggest Rihanna is focusing on other projects ahead of her music.
A source close to Rihanna dished to Grazia Daily UK that Rihanna is “in the process of launching herself as a serious fashion designer – starting with an accessories line.”
