Bill Cosby’s Alleged Mistress Of Three Years Comes To His Defense, Says Comedian Never Drugged Her

A woman who claims to have been Bill Cosby’s mistress decades ago is coming to his defense. According to Teresa Taylor, the comedian did not need to use drugs to entice women to sleep with him.

In an interview with Fox411, Taylor says she and Cosby started an affair in 1979 after the two met backstage while the comedian was guest hosting The Tonight Show. Teresa Taylor, who was 19 at the time the alleged affair started, says Bill Cosby did not need to use drugs to get women to sleep with him.

“I respect the women and I can’t dispute it but I don’t believe a lot of it. He didn’t need to do anything to get women to sleep with him. Women are attracted to men with money and power. At the time he was one of the most powerful men in Hollywood.”

Cosby’s alleged ex-mistress says she has a hard time believing all of the 40 women’s claims of drugging and sexual assault because these acts do not coincide with the behavior of the man she knew.

“He was so respectful towards me. He never drugged me or offered me Quaaludes. I was young and he took care of me – sometimes financially. He was good to my family. My mom had pictures of Bill all over the house.”

Although the two have not remained in touch since she left Hollywood and moved to New York a decade after the affair ended, Taylor, now 56, says she decided to speak out in Bill Cosby’s defense now because of the backlash against the comedian.

“What I’ve seen happening in the press about him is so disheartening. He is a kind man. I have never spoken about my personal life before and I needed to say that. Do I believe half of the women? No.”

Teresa Taylor’s defense of Cosby comes just days after the release of excerpts from the comedian’s 2005 deposition, in which the comedian admitted to obtaining prescription Quaaludes to give to women with whom he wanted to have sex. The shocking revelations have added fuel to the allegations of the women who have come forth publicly in recent months to accuse the comedian of drugging and rape.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Andrea Constand, the main plaintiff in the 2005 civil lawsuit, asked a judge on Wednesday to release to the public the comedian’s full deposition transcript and the parties settlement agreement.
