Tamra Barney Shares Message For Vicki Gunvalson On Day Of Mother’s ‘RHOC’ Death Episode

Tamra Barney posted a message for Vicki Gunvalson on Instagram on July 6. Ahead of tonight’s new episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County, which features Gunvalson learning of the death of her mother, her on-again, off again friend, Tamra Barney, reached out.

“Don’t miss Tonight’s episode! Grab your Kleenex and a glass of wine. It’s one of the saddest [episodes] I’ve ever seen. Thinking about you today @vickigunvalson I know how hard tonight is for you.”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Gunvalson recently revealed Season 10 of The Real Housewives of Orange County was her toughest season yet. In an interview with People, Tamra Barney’s sometimes-BFF said her mother’s death caught everyone by surprise, including her, and made for a heartbreaking moment on the show.

“One of the biggest things, obviously, was my mother dying this year … cameras were on me when I got the news. That episode hasn’t aired yet, but viewers have seen me getting that news, and dropping to the floor and screaming. I had just talked to my mom a few hours later, and she was fine, she was healthy. She laid on her bed and just died. It was nothing any of us were expecting, because she wasn’t sick.”

As for how she’s been doing since her mother died months ago, Gunvalson told the magazine, “I am doing terrible. I’m not good, at all. I miss my mom so much.”

At the time of Gunvalson’s mother’s death, she and Tamra Barney were on the outs. Ever since Gunvalson began dating Brooks Ayers, her relationship with Tamra Barney has been strained, and after filming Season 9, they were estranged.

In addition to Tamra Barney’s issues with Ayer and his relationship with Gunvalson, several other members of the cast have questioned his motives. Even Gunvalson’s daughter, Briana Culberson, isn’t a fan of the reality guest star.

During The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 10, Tamra Barney and other members of the show, including Meghan King Edmonds, began to question whether or not Ayers was really suffering from cancer, as he had claimed. While Gunvalson insists her boyfriend was diagnosed with the disease nearly two years ago, Edmonds and Tamra Barney aren’t so sure he’s being completely honest with Gunvalson, and have made their thoughts clear throughout Season 10.
