Things just keep on getting better and better for Terrence Howard. The Empire star just welcomed a baby boy with his wife, Miranda Pak. Although we’re just learning this news now, according to E!, the actor and his wife welcomed his son, Qirin Love, four weeks ago.
There’s a reason behind Howard’s son’s name. The actor told Access Hollywood that Qirin Love is significant because his first name is a derivative from the word qilin, which is a mythological Chinese creature. The creature is thought of as a good omen that signifies prosperity and/or sincerity.
Miranda and Terrence tied the knot in 2013 shortly after his marriage to Michelle Ghet ended. In fact, it’s believed that the pair were only dating for a month before they decided to tie the knot. Terrence has three other children from his previous marriage to Lori McCommas, who he was married to on and off for seventeen years. They have daughters Aubrey and Heaven together, and son Hunter as well.

As for Mira and Terrence, the couple announced that they were expecting a child together back in January. Back then, club owner Elizabeth An announced the news on New Year’s Eve, where the couple were partying at the venue AnQi.

Back in February, he spoke with Live! With Kelly & Michael about the changes in his life, becoming a grandfather again, and expecting a fourth child with Pak. “My oldest daughter gave me a granddaughter two years ago and now I’ve got a grandson, Adrian, a week ago. It’s something else to become apart of something bigger than yourself. And then my wife, we’re due in May and I’m having another boy.”
As for Qirin, Terrence told Access Hollywood , “He’s beautiful and strong and a whirlwind and my wife is so happy. [Mira] has to be up with all throughout the day. I wasn’t born with boobs, I’ve started growing some recently.”
He continued that Mira “has the boobage and nurses him during the day. So, I pull night duty, so that she can sleep and I keep him with me and will take some of the pre-pumped, you know, breast cheese, whatever you call it.”
Leave it to Terrence Howard to use his words in such a creative way.
